The Darwinian attitude towards form and therefore the use of imagination and imagery seems to be mentioned in the Bible here (KJV): "For the invisible things of [God] from the creation of the world are clearly seen..."

Invisible and yet "clearly seen," the Darwinian mind will falter on this point... "...being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools... (Emphasis added)

A satire of the pattern: "All professional biologists say that we emerged from imaginary hypothetical goo. I want to be defined as a biologist and scientist, so I agree that we must try to imagine things. For if I don't imagine things about the past then I won't be viewed as a scientist by Darwinists!"

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.(Romans 1)

When the Darwinian mind tries to merge all form into matter and information into mere formation the images that they create tend to serve as idols, naturally.
