One of the benefits to consoles is that the hardware in the system can be sold at a loss because their profits can come from games. You're usually getting a good deal on high end hardware if you buy a console. There are still a few points in favor of computers. They have more versatility in gaming (e.g. real time strategy games aren't big on consoles) and in general too, also if you build your own then you can keep up with the rapid pace of graphics technology if you feel like it.

So you should buy both.

From that review: Call of Duty 2 had multiplayer problems galore....

Yeah, like expecting you to have 2-16 separate X-boxs and TVs to have 2-16 players on system link, saying it supports 16 is almost false advertizing. It's pretty obvious that they wanted to release it when the 360 came out, so what could have been a console seller like Halo is just a good game. Although they're probably not making much selling the type of hardware that's in a 360 for its price anyway, most people buy a few games once they get a console and they need big games that are console sellers.

Looks like they'll fix it all in the next game and all will be well because people will buy it. I will, although I'm not very good at FPS.
