Regarding "Jesus turning over in his grave" (how funny), you could have pointed out that Paul writes numerous times that it was Jesus Himself who instructed Paul go to the Gentiles with the Gospel. (But I guess they would just say Paul must have lied about that bit, as well as the bit about the other apostles approving of his mission).

The Enlightement remains to be enlightented about itself...

I'm sorry, but Marshall's book is not that good at all. In fact, I debunk each of his claims at my blog in an extensive, recently revised and updated, review I wrote. This book is just another piece of propaganda to make christians feel better about their silly beliefs.
