BTW, depending on what technical stuff you got packed inside your 'puter you might be able to use 'System Restore' (accessories-system tools) and take it back to a date on which it was working okay.

In System Restore, create a restore point first. If you set your 'puter back a week and it works - great. If it makes things worse then at least you can get back to the settings you have now.
