Nanoblogger seems more polished and easier on the eyes, while, atleast in my opinion, holding on to its geeky roots (that's a good thing). Not that NB needs much more improvement, but I do hope you reconsider your position on it, atleast for those of us who find the value in it. Thanks for NB!

I like the NB hacker's look and I was able to embed a static SVG file in it (but not an animated SVG file yet). I hope nanoblogger will survive for these reasons...
Thanks for NB too

Interesting comparison, and, have to say - I 100%... DISagree! From what I see on vee's page it is a very basic blogger - no categories, no calendar grouping - all those features I like so much about nb. You say it is no longer "nano"... I don't see a problem with that. Difficult to maintain? Ok, maybe... Honestly, I didn't expect to see a single shell script, but it is well written! You could split it in several "libraries". It is slow? I can live with that. I have 44 entries in my blog now, and I can wait those several seconds it takes my 900MHz P-III to process a new article. If anyone wants to accelerate it - fine, re-write it in perl / python / kcl/tk, you could even add a proper database. What I definitely like about it - it looks nice, it's feature-rich, it's 100% static contents, and it just works well!
ATM I only have 1 wish: I often paste quotes into my blogs from some sources or logs, and lines there get very long. I use html "pre" blocks for them. Then the lines extend the background rectangle and - even worse - overlap with the "links" part and make both unreadable... I'm thinking about either putting the contents into a frame to make it scrollable horizontally, or putting "links" left of "contents". Or is it already available with one of alternative styles? BTW, would be good to have examples of all styles...
Thanks for the great software, and, PLEASE, don't let it bit-rot!

Ouch, sorry, it just disappeared for the first time for me, so, I thought, I had to register...

I like NanoBlogger's functionality, although vee does look intriguing. Keep up the good work Kevin!

Though I'm currently working through a bug on my blog (an upgrade to Debian seems to have wiped out my categories) I am not tempted to switch to Vee.
I enjoy the simplicity of NanoBlogger and find it is easy enough for applying styles to make things look really pretty just like all the WordPress blogs out there.
The lack of commenting is a little frustrating but this is a blessing in disguise for it means I can run NB on an internal server and push stories out. I don't like policing forums so this makes things easy.
Please keep working on NanoBlogger, I really enjoy the product.
Cheers

One key difference I like about nanoblogger: it's still around. The vee site appears to have disappeared...
