Oooh...and good donuts, too. (Not the Dunkin' Donuts I'm stuck with up in Boston.)

I'm with you about holidays being more of a trial while in grad school. Last year, I didn't even put up a Christmas tree. This from a person who collects Christmas ornaments!
I am really in awe of the amount of cleaning Jewish people do for Pesach. I'm not sure my apt. ever gets that clean. Question: do you seal up your grains in a special cabinet or do you give them away for the duration? One year, I kept all of the grain products for one of my friends. It wasn't much of a hassle and I was glad to help out. And in return I got to go to the Seder!

Mrs. W: we 'sell' them, which means we leave them in the front office and give the rabbi a power of attorney. Since we live on the 3rd floor it would probably be more of a pain to drag them up and down the stairs.

That is really cool, actually! I need a holiday where I have to clean everything. Too bad my Catholic genes just fill me with guilt

You know, one year I might actually clean that thoroughly. Or not. As is, I just don't eat leavened, and call it a week.

Word: we also had a dozen KRISPY KREME donuts to celebrate our return to the land of leaven. But since we were still in the land of England, they cost way more than I care to admit.
Still: totally worth it!
