Hey Jenny! Thanks for the post. Sounds a lot like how I'm feeling lately. We'll see how this plays out...
Sounds like you have a good (and attainable!) idea of what you want for the near future. Good luck for your own path and choices!

This one got me thinking, sufficiently that it made entry #2 in my own utterly nascent blog! Thanks .

I almost cried the other day as I was driving my minivan back to my cookie cutter home in the 'burbs. This is sooo not what I thought I would want. However, I'm happy. I guess that's all that really matters.

I wonder if it's a bad sign that my list is quite similar to yours, and I'm only 2 years into this PhD thing. Good luck! I hope you'll keep blogging about it.

Bless you, Jenny F. May it be as you envision it, or close enough.

I stumbled into science education, thinking it was a detour. Then, for reasons very similar to yours, I decided this is where I will make my stand. It's tough going, and I no longer look years down the road (in anything, but that's another matter), but it is what I want to do.
I hope you get what you want and need. And have fun with it.
