You are sickening. He was a fighter not a quitter. He was one of the most amazing horse and will be remembered by everyone as a legend. And horses have feelings and brains unlike you thinking that. Do you think Ruffian,Pine Island,Secretariat,Seabiscuit, and all the other racehorses that passed away are all quitters.NO they're not. They were amazing. So if that is your opinion fine but the rest of the world would beg to differ.

I love to see people who haven't the slightest idea of a single experience with horses in their entire lives try to speak of, or anything in regards to them, even in vague generalities. It's Preakness, by the way, dearist. Horses may not be able to read, but they can do basic math, which is more than I'd care to say about yourself. You can't even be cynical right. Indifference toward animals and a lack of compassion is more correctly catagorized as simple disregard. It's quite common, you see. As is ignorance. The use of laminiae extracted from the hooves of horses in adhesives has been restricted for.. Good fucking Lord, 50 years? So no.. Love, after having read a few of your posts, you are a failure as a cynic and your sence of humor is absolutely generic. Well, you however are, a fine example of the idiocy the human race is capable of producing. A pat on the head, that enlarged forehead, I suppose, for you. Keep making those of us who can sound out words in our heads look important.
Ah.. Putting foot-to-ass is always a good way to end one's night.

I suppose you didn't quite catch the purpose behind me referring to you as "dearist", rather "dearest", when illustrating to you that your spelling capabilities are that of a third grade Title 1 student, was intentional.
Keep workin' on that cognitive processing! You'll get it someday.
(A great way to make yourself feel better- copy, paste in blog, and retort, for your e-friends' supportive commentary)

The poor animal was not a fighter, he was a survivalist. He had to survive months of excruciating pain because his 'humans', you know those with the higher learning and brain power, could not let him go appropriately. They had to force their ill concieved will upon this animal who should have been HUMANELY Euthanised immediately. An Icebag fracture is called that because of all of the different 'shattered' bone fragments look like ice in a bag. Then you expect a 1000-1200lb horse to support that weight on 3 legs, causing his other good leg to 'mechanically' break down and founder . Then he had to endure the hoof wall resections that leave the sensitive laminae exposed to bandages to allow the abscess and gasses to escape to alleviate a miniscule amount of pain. Just LOOK at the picture on this blogspot. Does he LLOK like he was comfortable and pain free? Does he look healthy? No an emaciated horse because he could no longer bear his own weight comfortably.
He needed to be Euthanised within the first moments of the breakdown. Humans need to quit projecting their own selfish needs on innocent animals. You can try to make them better but you also NEED to recognise when to let go.

I don't know if your comments were directed at this Blog owner or at me but your whole post is offensive to gay people, learning impaired and horse owners alike and if Barbaro were alive he'd probably kick a ignorant racist like you in the head.

To "Goodbetter":
Barbaro was the nation's horse. We cheered him to win, we celebrated when he did. We cried when he died, and when he broke his ankle. This horse was amazing... you aren't. You aren't cynical. You are cruel and heartless. Barbaro was getting the best treatment we could give him, because it breaks our hearts to see animals die. It wouldn't break mine to see you die. You are worse than a rat in the sewer. I wish I could've written to him... horses are smarter than you, most likely. They can count, they can communicate with you with telepathy! It's because of the bonds we share with them. Barbaro could've heard the sympathy and well-meaning in the cards. You are a demon in the body of a human. Go die in a hole.
Barbaro, we love you forever, even if this b*tch doesn't. Happy grazing in the pasturers of heaven ♥♥♥
