Well, apparently the people who pick the music at the Quicken Loans arena think that Phil Collins pumps people up, I say nay-nay to that.
The best sports pump up songs in my opinion are (in no particular order)
1. Eye of the Tiger (the Rocky song)
2. Rock and Roll Part 2
3. Just about anything by ACDC, but mostly thunderstruck
4. For some reason, at Pittsburgh Steeler games they play "Renegade" by Styx, and the first time i heard it, i said "come on, this wont pump anyone up", but it grew on me.
I think "The Final Countdown" by Europe and whatever the hell that song by the Alan Parsons Project that got popular when the 90's Chicago Bulls used it as their intro music are fantastic pump-up songs. I think it's called "Sirius" but I'm not sure.
I like this song called "Twilight Zone." It never gets old, and yet no one can ever remember it's name. It kind of sounds like the Mortal Kombat theme song. I've even heard football bands perform the song.
