Gravatar Hi Bonny

I was really happy to see this piece appear in my RSS reader last night. I've been fascinated by the reactions to the two "happenings" and was hoping someone would try to put them into context and discuss them.

I've linked to your post and included a short quote on GetHiroshima.com's blog here
http:// gethiroshima.blogspot.com...thoughtful.html

I hope that's OK.

It is a shame that Chim↑Pom have pulled their exhibition and it does seem somewhat out of character; one wonders what went on in the offices of the Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art. This is a very complicated and sensitive issue, but had the exhibition gone ahead it would have surely instigated some meaningful, and passionate discussion that (it seems to me) Black Fireworks failed to provoke.

btw, by way of your blog I came across the Japan Writers Conference. Looks interesting and hope I can get to it on at least one of the days.

All the best,
Paul

Gravatar The material Cai uses has itself a rich history - black powder being used in early Chinese fireworks.

This piece was so good to read.
