Well yes , thanks for the interesting geography lesson. It makes me nostalgic for NYC. I get your drift about work and colour. But isn't it great to see such a variety of people everyday.
But it would be kinda swell to hear about the miraculous art you have seen?
It would be great if art reviews actually got back to communicating something illumating or inspiring about art actually seen and experienced. Rather than just about experience.
What's happening in Brooklyn ?

Hey Margaret!
You have an awesome guest blog. Wanna clarify that the Williamsburg gallery is actually Jack the Pelican Presents not Jake the Pelican.
Best!

Nice work, mayhem. You took me to NY for a minute or two...
I have seen the Spa Party Art Opening coming for a while now, I'm just amazed Melbourne hasn't done it first.

Awesome blog...being a COFA undergrad myself, i ask, would it be so bad if NY was invaded by us? We dress well, are at the cutting edge in ideas and thinking about art, and we make damn good work...whats not to love?

New York is full of ex Australian Arts talent (visual arts, theater, literature, criticism, arts management, curatorial, fashion, education etc) who are doing very well there. Many are our best and had to leave Australia because of professional indifference, mediocrity and lack of opportunity. New Yorkers know a good deal when they see one. Our loss, their gain.
