Of course Bill mentions one comment of the several objectionable ones found on his site, and of course blows it off. I posted the one turned over to the SS now and it was a bit freaky deaky. This one was found today by John Aravosis - who was of course banned for finding and displaying it.
"Maybe it's time to burn down the capitol building like Hitler did with the Reichstag building."
Bill won't be mentioning this. He will be lying about its existence however.

So what would the lefties do if they was actually succuess in Iraq. Would you still have our soldiers run away for you and hide like cowards.
Politically at this point it would be suicide for any democrat to admit that there is ANY SUCCESS with the Surge.
So,no matter what the situation, the DEMOCRATS are invested in the failure in Iraq as it is the only way the democrats can win.
ohh BTW ...
In an interview, Charlton said indications of the change in Ramadi include that it has not seen a roadside bomb attack in more than two months and attacks of all kinds are down to about one per day. As recently as February, when Charlton's brigade began operating in Ramadi, there were 157 roadside bomb attacks in the city and surrounding areas. In July 2006 there were 334.
"All these trends are still very, very positive," he said. "The level of violence has gone down and stayed down. Now, that doesn't mean that al-Qaida has given up.
Gaskin, in a separate interview, also expressed concern that the fight over Ramadi may not be over.

In this clip, it sounds like Bill is begging Dennis for some decorum - It's Dennis who is making salacious comments about George's affection for that poor innocent little cow (is it a boy cow or a girl cow?). Wow, Dennis Miller really cracks himself up. And you can see Bill thinking to himself that Miller needs a few more hours in the Billo reeducation camp - he (Miller) was teetering on the edge of ridiculing Bill's tunnel-vision. Miller! Yeesh. I'd like to ask the Georgeisgreat guy what he thinks about the nasty and/or threatening posts on Billo's site. Why are they excused, but the occasional nutjob on DailyKos isn't?

I think the real reason Billo is upset is Daily Kos gets more readers than he does viewers. A lot more. They unlike him are relevant. They are not an anchor tied around the necks of Democrats the way Billo and Fox are to Republicans and Billo just has hissy fits over it. I watch Dennis Miller and wonder does anybody laugh at his jokes besides Dennis Miller? He used to be pretty funny. I'm not sure what happened to him but he should go to Bill Maher for some pointers. He is looking sad. I don't have to agree with you politically to think you're funny either. Although Conservatives are not known for their humor the few who are funny do make me laugh. A comedian who can no longer make people chuckle might end up in some Godforsaken hell of a cable newscast trying to make some tired old gasbag appear more human or something horrible like that..

Army Misses Its June Goal for New Recruits
By DAVID S. CLOUD
Published: July 10, 2007
WASHINGTON, July 9 — The Army missed its recruiting goals in June for the second straight month, as rising casualties in Iraq and a strong economy at home kept the service from enlisting enough new soldiers, Pentagon officials said.
The Army fell more than 1,000 active duty recruits short of its June goal of 8,400, said a Pentagon official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the figures had not yet been formally released.

By the way, Fox news & the trolls are always stating that 'it doesn't matter' what Congress wants, that it's the Military and the troops opinions that matter. Well, over a year ago:
72% OF U.S. TROOPS SERVING IN IRAQ ADVOCATE A WITHDRAWAL
either:
- Immediately
- within 6 Months
- or 12 Months at the Most
also:
BARELY 1/3 OF THE MILITARY APPROVES OF THE JOB BUSH IS DOING IN IRAQ
...and just as telling, only 41% say we should have gone into Iraq in the first place.

From Semper's article:
"There is very little that sums up the record of the U.S. Congress in the Bush years better than a half-mad boy-addict put in charge of a federal commission on child exploitation. After all, if a hairy-necked, raincoat-clad freak like Rep. Mark Foley can get himself named co-chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, one can only wonder: What the hell else is going on in the corridors of Capitol Hill these days?"

I have to disagree, getting involved in the middle of a religiously based civil war has no purpose, and if you have ever studied history you would know it's just a bad idea. Truth is, we will leave Iraq sooner or later, and the Country will go to hell-in-a-handbasket no matter what. The only way to assure that it doesn't would be to annex it and make it our own. Which we cannot do.

do nothing LEFT/Congress

Truly amusing considering that the 109th GOP-controlled Congress is considered the most Do-Nothing Congress since 1948 and considering that the Republicans decided that the GOP-controlled Congress only needed to work 2 1/2 - 3 days a week and only worked 129 days out of the year.

*** FROM FOX NEWS' OWN WEBSITE ***
DEMOCRATS BEAT 100-HOUR CLOCK>
Democrats passed their 6-bill, 100-hour agenda with 13 hours to spare.
..Pelosi had promised the 6-bill, 100-hour drive to voters last the fall.
(Each of the bills have strong bipartisan support of the majority of Americans)
The bills passed by the House as part of the 100-hour agenda would:
. Scrap nearly $6 billion worth of oil industry tax breaks enacted by Congress. Passed Thursday.
. Lower interest rates on federally subsidized student loans from 6.8 percent to 3.4 percent. Passed Wednesday.
. Make the government bargain directly with drug companies with the aim of reducing prices of prescriptions for Medicare beneficiaries. Passed Jan. 12th.
. Expand government-financed embryonic stem cell research. Passed Jan. 11th.
. Raise the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour over 26 months. Passed Jan. 10th.
. Bolster terrorism-fighting efforts with more cargo inspections. Passed Jan. 9th.
. Democrats also won approval of internal House rule changes dealing with ethics, lobbying and budgeting. They were passed on Jan. 4-5, the first 2 days of the new Congress.

Yep.
Fox news' own Polling shows that the GOP is losing ground in the 2008 race.
It also shows that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama beats every single Republican Presidential Candidate in match-ups.
In fact, it shows that in 7 different match-ups, the Democratic Candidate beats the Republican Candidate.

I just always thought it absurd to claim anyone who disagreed with the war didn't support the troops. My brother was injured last year over there, and I support him completely. I am very proud of his service, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with the reasons he was there in the first place.

You don't hear Fox news & the trolls using that empty talking point much anymore, particularly
.. since we found out that many injured Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are being denied proper care and/or benefits
.. since we found out the war veterans say that soldiers are under-equipped and that the Military is over-stretched
.. since we found out that troops are being denied the proper rest time between tours
.. since we found out that their multiple tours of duty are being extended
.. since we found out that Bush appointees like Jim Nicholson, allowed millions of veterans and active-duty service members' private records to be stolen
.. since we found out that the Bush White House opposed the pay raise for troops
.. since the horrid conditions for Veterans at Walter Reed and other VA Hospitals were revealed.
.. since we found out that 14,000+ U.S. Weapons are missing in Iraq and the Military says that many of them likely found their way to the insurgents that are kiling our troops
.. since we found out that TBI and PTSD conditions are being significantly overlooked
.. since we found out that nearly 3/4 of the troops serving in Iraq agree with the majority of Americans when it comes to a withdrawal from Iraq
.. since we found out that barely 1/3 of the Military approves of the job Bush is doing in Iraq.
Although, Fox news' claims about "supporting the troops" has been a hollow one dating all the way back to the beginning of this war when the Bush Administration didn't even bother to plan for an insurgency against our troops.

Interesting point. I think it shows a troll will find a little "bridge" to hide under and only post on that blog all day and all night using various sock puppets. They get used to the same people trampling over them. The ones here have dropped that because after a couple of years of hammering them over and over again. So they know that line no longer provokes the type of response they want.
But watch out for the new ones I bet they will start off with and use the "don't support the troops" line a few times till they notice the resident trolls no longer use it. Then they will drop it here.

BOR and Dennis Miller are laughing at Hillary Clinton...
Meanwhile, Ronald Reagan's top Policy Adviser said that he thinks that Democrats will win the White House in 2008 (and that Republicans should line up behind the most Conservative Democratic Candidate): HILLARY CLINTON
Meanwhile, Fox news' good buddy, Rush Limbaugh, gives this Presidential Candidate an "80% chance of becoming the next President of the United States":
HILLARY CLINTON
...and Fox news' own Poll shows that the majority of Americans see the following Presidential Candidate as 'Very Qualified' to be president of the United States: HILLARY CLINTON
...and Rupert Murdoch held a big Fundraiser for whom?: HILLARY CLINTON

FACT: The new meme is REPUBLICAN DISHONEST SCARED SHITLESS RACIST HOMOPHOBE PEDOPHILE
The mean humor of the 1/2hour trip to the crapper and the wit of Dennis Miller are a symptom.

"So what would the lefties do if they was actually succuess in Iraq."
So, you ADMIT that Iraq has NOT been a "succuess." Lack of success equals FAILURE, if you haven't figured that out.
What most of us have said from the beginning of this debacle is that the Bush strategy will not, and could never, end in "success," however you define that. We were correct.
The REAL question is why do you continue to support what YOU agree is failure?
Hey, could someone please put more fish in this barrel. We've shot all the ones that were in it.

Better to let things play out and see where the traitors are.
[/q]
I said this on an older thread, but "traitor" is a distinct and very specific legal term, and should be used carefully.
The casual usage by Bush adherents not only cheapens the seriousness of actual treason. 2006 saw its first indictment for treason since 1952.
What you are doing is not only cheapening the seriousness and soberness of a charge of actual treason, but conflating and confusing dissent with treason, which it is certainly not.
My point is that you need to know what treason is before you sling the word around so carelessly, and that someone is not a traitor simply because they disagree with you.
Plus the whole "traitor" thing is soooo 2005. We're called "haters" now, remember?

======================================
There’s nothing like using the ‘big bad Muslims argument’ when knocking the perceived British penchant for ‘liberalism’
The British have lived with the threat of terrorism for nearly forty years. The IRA couldn’t beat us, so some radical Muslims certainly won’t.
What do you expect the Brits to do? Why not set-up some internment camps, our very own Guantanamo Bay maybe? Round-up anybody that looks ‘different’. Lock them up, throw away the key and forget about their rights to due process.
It’s not being soft of liberal, or as you so eloquently described it ‘sucking –up’. It’s being a democratic and free country, which is welcoming to people of all creeds and religious beliefs. Those that want to cause wanton destruction in the name of their chosen god will be dealt with, because they have broken the law of the land.
Just because one’s neighbour maybe a Muslim, doesn’t give anyone the right prejudge them, and think of them as anything but human beings, just trying to get on with their lives, as you and I would hope to do.
By the way bushthegreat it’s ‘spelling’. Maybe those six fingers on each hand got in the way. Not to mention the webbing between the fingers, which is a sign of anybody with right-wing leaning tendencies doesn’t help when trying to type.
As for Dennis Miller, do some Americans really think he is funny, apart from Bill O’Reilly? Maybe he should go on that programme you have over there on the other side of the pond, America Has Talent. I’d give him 30 seconds before three X’s appeared. I know they say know your audience, but what’s Miller’s the blue-rinse brigade, and nut-jobs hiding in bunkers in Iowa.
