Millions of Iraqi children need help now: UNICEF report
Last Updated: Friday, December 21, 2007 | 12:28 PM ET

"Children are also the victims of violence, frequently caught in the crossfire of fighting, said the report, called Little Respite for Iraq's Children in 2007.

About 1,350 children were detained by authorities in 2007, "many for alleged security violations" while only 28 per cent of 17-year-olds took their school-leaving exams this year, it said."

About houu the reporting from earock is biased, and all!/?

Anyuuay, here's a link regarding the sectarian fauxtographer, BiLaL Hussein:

Plus, didn't Harry Reid just recently admit that surge was working.*

I believe he did.

No question mark cuz that's not a question.

I don't think that one either will be reported by Fox News :

Mr. Forward = Uber Troll

Will Fox Report the following 20 times a day on Christmas?

http://arabwomanblues.blogspot.c...ion-part- i.html

When I say and repeat that you, Americans have destroyed everything in Iraq, I am met with scorn and anger.

Some of you are too simplistic and equate destruction with buildings in ruins.

Having a limited a vision, you can’t go beyond the material, the physical...

I reiterate, you Americans have destroyed everything in Iraq. And I mean EVERYTHING.

Since 1958 until 2003, Iraq, its government and its people strove relentlessly to build a modern nation state.

The biggest developmental boom took place under the Baath regime and in particular under Saddam Hussein. Like it or not.

In 1972, the oil was nationalized. By 1982, illiteracy and preventable diseases were eradicated.

Education including higher education was free of charge. The government would disburse 5000 grants yearly for postgraduate studies abroad to England, Germany, Russia, France...

No specious or plausible pleas about a "war for democracy" can becloud the issue. Democracy can not be shot into a nation. It must come spontaneously and purely from within.

The following link tells us how we have been conned.

http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2.../12/ 388390.html

The Iraq agenda was so important to the Bush administration that the White House had even formed “an interagency” ‘Iraq Public Diplomacy group’ comprised of NSC, CIA, Pentagon, State and USAID staffers.” The Iraq Public Diplomacy Group created the ‘Iraqi Voices for Freedom’ - voices which spoke of Saddam’s brutality and torture, while they made themselves available for interviews, especially to foreign press (non-American). In addition to this, a public relations firm, the Rendon Group, helped create the Iraqi National Congress (INC) in order to promote ‘the democratic voice of Iraq’. This firm helped President Bush sell the war to the public by linking Iraq to al-Qaeda and presenting Saddam Hossein as an imminent threat. They repeatedly linked Saddam and the shocking pictures of the Twin Towers with Saddam Hossein, where there was no link,; but this was accomplished by sheer repetition. False allegations of his capability to launch WMD in 45 minutes was imbedded in the minds of the masses by showing video clips of 1988 chemical attack on the Kurds of Halabja in an attempt to convince people that an attack against Saddam was to defeat evil.

Bush conning us into this illegal war created the fate of this Iraqi teenager.

http://www.spiegel.de/ internatio...,524425,00.html

Many of the insurgents building bombs and carrying out attacks in Iraq are hate-filled teenagers. Diya Muhammad Hussein, 16, is one of them ...

Jesus, Vince,can you say monomania.

So what you're saying is that Bill C left out things in Iraq that Faux should've covered but didn't, eh?
Perhaps you should write Faux and tell them to report what is going on in Iraq.

Wait, is that website the one that was found to be attributing certain attacks to Muslims that had nothing to do with them (including, IIRC, a killing by an American soldier)? Are there not enough attacks by Islamic Conservatives that they need to be inflated?

I think Free Speech would probably appreciate it if a jerk-off like you didn't speak for him/her.

"Dear Santa: As you make your rounds dropping off presents, please don't forget the brave young men and women journalists in Iraq who risk their lives on a daily basis to keep Americans informed on what is really taking place in Iraq."

Your wish must be working. Many of the reporters are wondering the streets without body armor. Good Job.

Mendell | 12.23.07 - 9:26 am | #

The following scenario is the best way to understand Mendell and the trolls.

Mendell comes home to find his wife and Bush Jr, naked together in bed. Just as Mendell is about to open his mouth, Bush jumps out of bed and says, "Before you say anything, old pal, what are you going to believe, me or your eyes?"

Mendell quickly answers, "why I'll believe you."

I was thinking that the concept of paying off the insurgents for a time is actually a good one. We've done this before in history, successfully I believe; it's essentially what we should be doing in Afghanistan.
While this would be somewhat cruel, it is good strategy to allow status quo to occur in all parts of the country except one. Then after you've helped fix some of the problems in that area you expand your 'coverage' if you will to another.
So, yes, pay off some insurgents now. Then take out a small part of them while still paying off the others, and so on. Eventually, the others will get wise but, hopefully, it'll be too late.

Dream on Marie, dream on. Like my pa used to tell me when I was a lad, "Want don't always get."

So what you're saying is that Bill C left out things in Iraq that Faux should've covered but didn't, eh?

Vince,

I,m not arguing,or trying to divert you.(God knows that would be pointless.)Just making an observation IMHO.

If the main fear in the world is Islamo-cons,it would seem rather counterproductive to smash a secular state, even if it is run by a strong armed dictator.I mean,it isn't like we haven't cozied up to thuggish dictators before.

BTW, I don't get this. Vince P is shown to be a raving anti-Muslim yet I noticed he uses 'jihadis' more than once. I believe that the whole point of Bill Cocorans post is to remind the World that "the surge is working", can be roughly translated to "we are still in the shit, but not sinking as fast".

Attacks in Algeria

TWO car bomb attacks in Algeria's capital, which killed at least 31, may be signaling an upsurge in Islamic extremist activity outside the usual venues.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, the terrorist organization that claimed credit for the suicide bombings in Algiers, has been around under different names since at least 1998, but what was new and disquieting about last week's attacks were the targets.

One was the building housing Algeria's Constitutional Council, which oversees elections. The other was the offices of various United Nations bodies, including the U.N. Development Program and the World Food Program, which clearly benefit the people of Algeria.

In claiming responsibility for the carnage, al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb referred to the agencies as "the Crusaders and their agents, the slaves of America and the sons of France," Algeria's former colonial master.

That isn't what I said.

I don't think Vinnie understands the irony of my post ("So what you're saying is ... you didn't speak for").

However, logically it follows that if
p) You think Bill "is giving incomplete data about the enemy attacks", and
q) Bill is reporting on what Faux did and didn't report about Iraq, then
r) You must think Faux "is giving incomplete data about the enemy attacks"

BTW, I don't get this. Vince P is shown to be a raving anti-Muslim yet I noticed he uses 'jihadis' more than once. It is shocking that what ignorant Muslims have been doing with impunity in the so-called Muslim World – killing and victimizing weak and innocent in the name of Islam – can also happen in Canada and other civilized countries. This is a wakeup call for everybody who wants to protect life, property and honor of all human beings, everywhere.

Vince,

I think you helped make Bill's point that fox is ignoring violence in Iraq?Perhaps you could address your point to Mendel,in his 9:26 am post he implies that the situation in Iraq is just honky dory.

Are you arguing that the Muslem insurgency in the Phillipines has the same goal as the "Brotherhood"in Egypt does, that there are no local or regional political issues that are driving actions?

The liberal media ignores the good news coming out of Iraq:

1) Two million Iraqi children face disease, poverty.

2) We have found our future Bin Laden/Saddam Hussein.

All I want for Christmas is a Bush-loving pro-war media that informs about the situation in Iraq to replace this liberal media that hides the truth about Iraq.

Mendel

Do you have a way to end honor killings,or are you just bringing it up to show how "evil"1.2 billion Muslims are?

"Iraq rejects permanent U.S. bases"

1. oil

3. iraqnam/iran oil deal.

Nah it is simple. These folks just want to kill ALL muslims. Or more to the point, have SOMEONE else do it, like the US military.

Yes we do again have troops in the Philippines.

It sounds like we are going about things there like we did in Nam.

What does the region have that America is interested in???? OIL AND CHINA. GASP WHAT A SHOCK!!!

Try to dig a little deeper than the obvious headlines people throw at you. The headlines are dispensed many time to cover up why we are REALLY interested in a region. WE are attempting to get permanent bases back in the region on the island of Mindanao.

There is a small group of thugs pretending to be aligned with Islam.... in fact for years all they have been doing is harassing and demanding money to stop. In other words....extortion.

he U.S. has been very unhappy since we were thrown out of Clark AFB and have been seeking a way to get bases back in the region somewhere.

This band of rebels is the excuse they need.
As usual our intentions are never as clear as the headlines would like us to believe.

85-95% of all domestic violence victims are female.

Over 500,00 women are stalked by an intimate partner each year.

5.3 million women are abused each year.

1,232 women are killed each year by an intimate partner.

David Prager is doing harm to the history of Fascism. To borrow that word from the past and put it on a region with an entirely different culture and geopolitical makeup mocks the very meaning of fascism.

The reason whores like Prager use Fascism in conjuction with the Middle East is because we western use the word fascism as a derogatory term.

Islamo fascism is derogatory and doesn't educate us on the realities of the region.

Special report: Tension escalates in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- An American soldier was killed and 11 others were wounded when two roadside bomb attacks hit their vehicles in northern Iraq, the U.S. military said on Saturday.

The attack took place when the soldier's unit was conducting combat operations in Kirkuk province on Friday, a military statement said.

The wounded soldiers were transported to a military medical facility for treatment, the statement added.

The latest death brings the number of U.S. soldier who have been killed in Iraq to more than 3,895 since the U.S.-led invasion broke out in 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.

Should I congratulate Vince and Mendell because they try to inform themselves, or not, because they only pick informations that strengthens their prejudices ? They seem to make a habit of considering all crimes committed by Muslims, or in a muslim country, as being a consequence of Islam.

Do they know that there are honor killings in non-muslims societies (hindu, notably) ?

Do they know that in Kazakhstan, an islamic country, they eat pork, don't veil women, don't practice polygamy, don't practice sharia ?

Do they know that in the muslim Targui tribe, wome, and men are equal, and women keep their properties, and can chose their husband, and divorce at will ?

Do they know that Ismaelians, Sufis, druzes, have never been a problem ?

Do they know that in fact, only a tiny minority of muslims (wahabis) is a real problem ? And that they are generally funded by the US's best friend in the Middle east, Saudi Arabia ?

Do they know they don't know much ?

There's no doubt the loony liberal talk show hosts do the same thing. The history of US domestic terrorism shows a definite lean to the right wing. There is something about the right-wingers that makes it more common for them to go off the nut and attack their fellow Americans. I'm thinking that their own twisted ideas of what they deserve in life opposed to what other people (are perceived to be) are taking away from them - or given to them by "liberal" causes like welfare and other gov services - fills them with anger and ultimately the desire for revenge. Some of them snap and act on those desires at some point. They never examine the fact that they've usually squandered their opportunities in life, or pursued THINGS that ultimately were of far less value than originally perceived.

Like I said. They are mentally ill. When you identify one make sure you know where they are at, so to speak, if they are a neighbor or associate.

This is what happened SUNDAY in IRAQ, but FOX NEWS elected not to cover any of these events...

Reported Security Incidents

Baghdad

Roadside bomb kills two civilians, wounds two in Zaafaraniya district of southern Baghdad.

Police find two bodies dumped in different places.

Roadside bomb targets joint U.S.-Iraqi patrol. No casualties reported.

Iraqi security forces announce the arrest of 20 men in the ongoing security crackdown.

Mahmoudiya (I think)

Two officers and four soldiers of the Sahwa tribal forces were killed in a car bomb attack. This minor detail is buried in the above story about security forces making arrests in Baghdad, and describes the location as "the district of al-Mahmoudiya, Southern Baghdad." I assume this refers to the town of Mahmoudiya, which is not part of the municipality of Baghdad but is in the city's environs. -- C

Body found with gunshot wounds.

Ramadi

Police find two bodies dumped near a service station, riddled with bullets.

al-Hai, Wassit province

Bomb attack near the home of Abdul-Reda al-Badri, head of the provincial Human Rights Department, severely damages his house and injures six members of his family. Not clear whether Badri himself was injured.

Mosul

Abdul Attackers blow up the home of Maawjoud Jar Allah, head of the municipal council in the Sinjar district. Sinjar is part of the disputed territory between Kurdistan and Arab Iraq. VoI does not say whether Allah was Arab or Kurdish.

Car bomb targeting a police patrol kills one civilian and injures five police officers. McClatchy, reporting what appears to be the same incident, gives the exact location as Al Mashriq neighborhood, and says the car bomb was parked.

A Lt. Colonel in the Iraqi army is assassinated.

Kut

U.S. says its forces captured a militant leader and seven other suspects.

Latifya

Roadside bomb kills one civilian, injures two.

Absolutely, Hayduke. Islamic Fundamentalism is the correct term. However, since Conservatives, especially Christian Conservatives, want to use the term "islamo-fascist", which is inaccurate, then we should use the term "Islamo-Conservative" since it is far more correct.
International Terrorists are RWers; Domestic Terrorists are, generally, RWers. Christian Fundamentalist are Conservatives; Islamic Fundamentalists are Conservative. So, Islamic Conservative is indeed apropos.

Hundreds in Ramadi protest policeman killing by U.S. soldier

http://tinyurl.com/28p66e

Saturday , 22 /12 /2007 Time 4:30:35

Anbar, Dec 21, (VOI) – Hundreds of people in al-Anbar staged a demonstration in front of a U.S. forces headquarters north of Ramadi on Thursday to protest the killing of an Iraqi policeman stabbed by a U.S. soldier in a quarrel on Wednesday.

"About 400 protesters in the area of al-Jazira, (4 km) northeastern Ramadi, demanded a trial of the U.S. soldier in accordance with the Iraqi law for stabbing an Iraqi policeman in a joint checkpoint to death on Wednesday evening," a police officer in Ramadi, who declined to have his name mentioned, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
The protesters started their march from the house of the policeman during his funeral and then assembled in front of a U.S. headquarters, chanting slogans condemning the "criminal" killing of the policeman, the source said.
The demonstration lasted for about 20 minutes and then mourners marched towards the cemetery to bury the Iraqi policeman, he added.
"The victim's family has lodged a complaint with the local council in Ramadi and called for an immediate trial of the U.S. soldier commensurate with the Iraqi law," the source said.
No comment was made by the U.S. army on the incident nor reaction to the angry protests by the local residents in Ramadi.
Ramadi, the capital of the predominantly Sunni province of Anbar, is 110 km west of Baghdad.

Great post as usual, Bill and happy holidays to you and yours. I read the article about how life is so much worse for gays under the Shia than under the secular Saddam. Even worse is that some American soliders mock these men in front of other Iraqis - which could jeopardize their lives. But hey, hatred of gays seems to be part of the "freedoms" espoused by the American republican right wing.

You mean the withdrawal that nearly everyone wants, Dave? I'm sorry to hurt the feelings of those war profiteers... not.

I suspect APW doesn't read a word here. It might even be a scripted macro.

More happy Iraq:

A roadside bomb targeting an Iraqi army patrol in Baghdad killed two civilians Sunday, as attacks claimed the lives of at least five people despite a marked decrease in violence across the country in recent months.

The roadside bomb in southeastern Baghdad's predominantly Shiite neighborhood of Zaafaraniyah also wounded four people, a Baghdad police officer said..

Dave | 12.23.07 - 11:55 am | #

Dave: First of all the people like me who want a withdrawal make up 86% of those polled---so it isn't just me.

The reason I post what I post is because FOX NEWS reports only "good" news out of Iraq leaving the impression that everything is peachy keen in Iraq when I show with one story after another that Fox news is lying.

I also post what I do so people will realize there are TV outlets like Fox News who shade the truth. Brit Hume of Fox is notorious for telling only half the story as he did two weeks ago when he bragged about how the Iraqi refugees were returning to Iraq, but BRIT HUME failed to report they were returning because Syria was kicking them out and they had run out of money and couldn't get jobs in Syria.

I could go on and on how FOX NEWS has lied to the Amerian public and are still lying everyday to the American public about the Iraq war.

BILL CORCORAN, bringing the truth about the Iraq war to News Hounds readers.

LOL, I can't believe there are still idiots who think Iraq had ties to terrorism. "Doesn't matter." Yep, that sums up RW thinking; facts don't matter, they KNOW.

There's trouble in River City:

Shiite leaders oppose expansion of U.S.-backed citizens groups
By Leila Fadel | McClatchy Newspapers
Posted on Friday, December 21, 2007

BAGHDAD — The leader of Iraq's most powerful Shiite Muslim political party warned Friday that the security organizations that American officials credit with helping to cut violence in Iraq must be brought under control

Abdulaziz al Hakim, the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, became the latest Iraqi leader to raise concerns that the U.S.-financed groups, which are predominantly Sunni Muslim and known as awakening councils or "concerned local citizens," could become a potent army capable of challenging the U.S.-backed Shiite-dominated central government.

"We emphasize that it's important that these awakening councils become an aid and an arm to the Iraqi government in its pursuit of criminals and terrorists and not become a substitute for it," Hakim said in a speech that marked the Eid al Adha festival of sacrifice commemorating the end of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca..

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/iraq/...tory/ 23567.html

And if the majority Shia groups aren't happy - ain't nobody happy. Looks like 2008 could see an upsurge in sectarian violence.

NOW THE INSURGENTS ARE GOING AFTER PEOPLE WHO DRINK BOOZE IN BAGHDAD

BLOOD AND ALCOHOL IN BAGHDAD

http://www.goupstate.com/article...10335/1051/ news

BAGHDAD — Blood and ouzo mingled on the sidewalk outside a shattered Baghdad liquor store on Thursday after three people were killed in a car bombing directed at alcohol sellers in one of Baghdad’s most heavily protected areas.

The alcohol sellers, who have expanded their business as security in Baghdad has improved in recent months, were among the few merchants plying their trade during the Muslim holiday celebrating Id al-Adha, the end of the hajj, or annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

But the scattered shrapnel and body parts along Sadoun Street did not appear to have much of an impact on Id al-Adha revelers in the neighborhood, who continued as though it were a normal day, perhaps inured to the sounds and sights of violence for years.

“There are explosions everywhere,” said a man who gave his name only as Mr. Ahmed, gesturing to the heavens. “We believe in God.”

Even as the bomb sent a cloud of black smoke rising into the midafternoon sky, Iraqis kept partying at a social club in Paradise Square a few hundred yards away. Children ran around the lawn while their parents sat at tables listening to the sound system blaring the song “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

We tried it your way for 8 years and it ended in a disaster.

Disaster is right

Booming economy
The world loved the US
National debt getting smaller.
Crime at some of the lowest rates ever

Disaster if you are a privite prison builder

And despite the surge:

But even more scary are the roughly 70,000 Sunni tribal militiamen trained and paid by the United States to fight al Qaeda. No one doubts that they are lying low. Sure, they are happy to shoot at foreign al Qaeda fighters - for now. But many of them, speaking to numerous newspaper and magazine reporters, have openly declared their larger aim: to retake Baghdad and restore Sunni control of Iraq once the Americans leave.

Shiite government leaders know that. As the Sunni troop strength increases, government alarm rises.

"We condemn and reject embracing those terrorist elements," Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's political party declared last month. The Americans had a plan for these Sunni tribesmen. In time, they were to be integrated into the Iraqi security forces. But the Shiite leadership is unwilling to accept them. The government won't even provide uniforms and weaponry or services to the Sunni militiamen. The Shiite leadership and Sunni tribal militia are, effectively, already at war.

"Why is that polls of 1,000 people are valid ... FOX's viewership is in the millions you scoff at it and dismiss it?"

The idiot apparently knows nothing about even the most basic statistics. Polls are designed, via questions, to represent a cross section of America. 1000 is a statistically valid number of respondents (IIRC, ~900 is minimum needed).
For example, I was thrilled to get a pollster the other day because they never call me. Yet when he found out I was a white middle-aged man the call ended. Why? Because he already had enough white middle-aged men.

Now if you want to what the really old and brain-dead believe, then, yea, Faux is a valid resource.

U.S. General Says Iraq Violence at Lowest Levels Since 2004
Sunday, December 16, 2007

BAGHDAD — Violence in Iraq is at its lowest levels since the first year of the American invasion, finally opening a window for reconciliation among rival sects, the second-ranking U.S. general said Sunday as Iraqi forces formally took control of security across half the country.

Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, the man responsible for the ground campaign in Iraq, said that the first six months of 2007 were probably the most violent period since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. The past six months, however, had seen some of the lowest levels of violence since the conflict began, Odierno said, attributing the change to an increase in both American troops and better-trained Iraqi forces.

"I feel we are back in '03 and early '04. Frankly I was here then, and the environment is about the same in terms of security in my opinion," he said. "What is different from then is that the Iraqi security forces are significantly more mature."

Iraq is now a place that makes even the tele tubbies envious and we're all pretty sure you guys have your tickets to Iraq to go on that vagabonding trip around the country with your I love Bush t-shirt. Sent us a post card will you. Oh if you really want to have fun drive up to a check point really fast the guards will love your joke.

Hey dumbass, you're just proving Bill's point. It's all good in Iraq according to Fox.

Above you will see 15 stories on or about Iraq. Yet liar Bill denies that FOX reports on Iraq.

Well Bill, the news site you are looking for is here:

http://www.sott.com

news and opinion gathered from correspondents "on the ground" from all over the world. Makes for a much more accurate picture ("reality-based" ha, ha) than the fantasy spin of the Faux News syncophants.

Check it out.

Reported by Marie Therese - Sun 4:36 AMGUEST BLOGGED BY BILL CORCORAN

Things are getting better because the United States is paying money to keep everyone quite. What happens when the money runs out? C-I-V-I--l-L W-A-R ouch.

Dear Santa,

I have my two front teeth so I don't need teeth, but I would appreciate it if you could put in a good word over at FOX News and tell them a lot of us would like to hear about EVERYTHING that is happening in Iraq, not just carefully edited snippets of half-truth and spin. Rudolph told me that FOX News says things are peachy keen in Anbar Province, but what about the rest of Iraq? He suggested I check out various news outlets and the Iraq Today web site if I want the whole unvarnished truth about Iraq.

Bill shows no proof of his side of the topic and yet he askes for proof. Then when proof is given it is edited or snipped or some bullshit. You would think that Bill works fro mediamatters or newshounds to use those dirty tactics.

MSNBC optimistic. Wow!

HAWIJA, Iraq - Nearly 6,000 Sunni Arab residents joined a security pact with American forces Wednesday in what U.S. officers described as a critical step in plugging the remaining escape routes for extremists flushed from former strongholds.

The new alliance — called the single largest volunteer mobilization since the war began — covers the “last gateway” for groups such as al-Qaida in Iraq seeking new havens in northern Iraq, U.S. military officials said.

As Dumbya once said...

It's all over the web. We have been paying the Sunni tribal leaders money to chill out. We did it to the warlords in Afghanistan and if that was any lesson what will happen when the money runs out could be a nightmare.

http://www.motherjones.com/comme...ning- anbar.html

U.S. casualties are down in Iraq. But a retired Army Colonel argues that the surge and American payoffs to Sunni tribal leaders may eventually backfire—producing more instability and possibly a regional war.

Instead of bitching about the liberal media not reporting the good news coming out of Iraq, why dosen't Fox News cover the good news themselves?

I'd love to see that new school or that newly painted wall.

After all, one Baby Noor can wipe off the memory of those hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children (we don't do body counts) "accidentally" killed by our indiscriminate bombing campaigns and one burnt-faced Yosuf can help hide the fact 2 million Iraqi children face disease and poverty because American Freedom & Democracy decided to bestow it's Blessings upon them.

I wonder why the Bush-hating, terrorist-loving, anti-American, anti-war liberal media - CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC etc. etc. has not covered those stories or the stories about the millions of Iraqi refugees kicked out of Syria and now stranded homeless in Iraq with no where to go, no shelter to hide under.......

The liberal media sure works in mysterious ways.

What I see is the murdered corpse of the Iraqi nation, and we can't HAVE a new nation till our military and mercs get off the corpse.

Oh sure, it's getting better.. it's like saying "cheer up, you're getting stabbed with a smaller knife now.."

so much name calling

well - things are better in iraq atm - wether temporarily or for the long term is up to interpretation and remains to be seen - personally i would have liked a real surge with 500,000 troops to protect the iraqi's lives while they figured out exactly what to do with the country we destroyed for them

but of course bush isnt really committed to winning this war - if he was he would ask us all to sacrifice for this very serious cause and he would have instituted a draft if americans did not sign up to fight en masse

but then has bush's heart ever really been in this war? as billo loofa likes to say - the way he has faught it makes it seems he wants america to lose the war

lets hope beyond hope that the iraqi people may see peace in their homeland and we may see peace here

thats my christmas wish

but then im just a silly buddhist

ummm - is it that you dont like to be honest or that your just that blind?

democracy is very very doubtful in iraq at the moment - and for yoru information women had more rights under saddam than they do under maliki

but then this is unfortunate information for you isnt it

because rathrr than admit that our goal of bringing democracy and equality to iraw has ratehr failed - and that we now would settle for peace rather than the lofty goals of the former is inconvienent at best for your idealistic view of a world that is just slightly more complicated than your letting on

when women can walk to the shops without a male chaperone we may be back to where iraq was before we invaded - i will say well finally some equality - but thats unlikely to happen

lets not forget our willful ignorence of isreal's aparthied against palestinians and you see why democracy and equality really arent values that we hold in america - just ones we pretend to espouse

I sure hope dave gets an unannounced visit from The Feds for that dire threat. I know I'm scared to comment now. I'll testify so in court. See there dave-o!

Where did this pendejo matador pop up from? daves' ass? Having read this entire thread it does seem only one troll at a time, don't it? Do they get their entire body of knowledge from fuchs, rush et al? Just like my friend, Bill. No matter what the topic of conversation he can always find a way to say, "The liberals want to..." or "It's the liberals fault."

Sadly they don't understand they have been cornholed by the neocons and their quest for military/corporate domination. Just as fucked as us fact-based thinkers, which would be funny if it were not so serious. Troll and rightists unite! Your boys in this administration don't care about you! They have ruined your country and taken your freedoms. Wake. The. Fuck. Up.

Remember when Bush said we cannot win this war "militarily?"

So what is all the hoopla from the neocons about how we are winning the war.

Has the Iraqi government pulled themselves together. Hell, no.

The whole point of the "surge" was to get the Iraqi government to stand up on its own.

It had nothing to do with military succcess.

BILL CORCORAN, straightening out the neocons who forget what the REAL mission is all about in IRAQ

Would that be like that story you've been telling for over 2 thousand years now? "The Second Coming of Jesus Christ"? "He's coming. Just you wait and see. All the signs are there. You'll be sorry when He comes. He's coming for sure. And soon."

That kind of story about Democracy coming to Iraq? Same kind of time frame? Between now and Two Thousand and NEVER?

Oopsy! What's an empire to do?
----
Iraq will never allow the United States to have permanent military bases on its soil, the government's national security adviser said, calling the issue a "red line" that cannot be crossed.
"We need the United States in our war against terrorism, we need them to guard our border sometimes, we need them for economic support and we need them for diplomatic and political support," Mowaffaq al-Rubaie said.
"But I say one thing, permanent forces or bases in Iraq for any foreign forces is a red line that cannot be accepted by any nationalist Iraqi," he told Dubai-based al Arabiya television.

Don't you hate it when puppets mouth off? I suspect Mr. Mowaffaq al-Rubaie is about to meet with one of those "Blackwater accidents."

Mr. Corcoran- you never fail to poke a stick in the hornet's nest, do you?
Your usual good job, and the usual troll uprising. The trolls should be glad this is not my site everyone would be required under penalty of deletion to accompany each assertion with a cite to the source of that assertion i.e. vinnie's sockpuppet mandull telling us India is a muslim nation.I wonder which wingnut site featured that tidbit. We know vinnie is as large a plagiarizer as has ever shown up here, his sockpuppet would appear to be the same.No denying the subconmtinent has a muslim segment, but when they came to outnumber the Hindus I'm not sure.I love how mandull appears to give absolute numbers for the murder rate in India at least it didn't specify if those were per unit of population or not.
The one thing I'll give the wingnuts is that the SCLM is doing no better at presenting a complete picture of either conflict than fux noise.

You're just a typical negative-nelly left wing liberal media type. Trust Bush, he has NEVER lied to us, whatever he says must be gospel. Everything is going swimmingly in Iraq, Fox says there are no problems and everything is just peachy, so it must be! Stop being negative, Iraq is fine! (Trust us).

A democratic Iraq will be America's worst nightmare: An oil-rich Shiite-dominated, Iran-friendly Islamic Republic - the kind the US calls "the enemy". Was that the purpose of removing Saddam and destroying his secular state?

Russia is in the same boat. democracy takes years and years of evolution to happen. The citizenry has to LEARN how to live in a true democracy. And the government needs to be open enough to allow it to happen. you have to have safe enough borders allow it to happen.
The right culture and traditions also need to be in place.

They also have to have people that are not attempting to rape it from the outside.

We are in Iraq for Pnac. Not democracy. They can PRETEND to have a democracy......but when we are forcing them to do our bidding then they are not involved in democracy. They are simply vassal states.

How many Muslims do you know personally vince?
Less than 5, I would guess, you bigot.

So you're OK with the harassment of gays and the treatment of women in the "democratic" Iraq where the Shia and Sunnis are still having problems as we have been noting. Or do you deny that there are any problems at all. Just wondering....

Vince from what I can see is a melodramatic, idealistic kid who has read alot but understands little.

Most of us were the same way when we were 20 or so.

WE will fix things that our apathetic parents wont. WE are smarter than THEY are.

Genesis even wrote a song about the syndrome.

What happens as we age is that we learn that very little of what our rulers tell us is fully true.
hey tell us the part of the truth they wish us to hear so we can be lead where they want us lead to.

As we see more and more fo the lies as we age, we begin to see patterns.

We begin to see our government using terminology of the same type every time they wish a war. They use other countries terminology. The lies are cross border words.

The terminolgy being used by Bush right now for things like enemy combatants came right out of the KB handbook. Extreme rendition. Enhanced interrogation.

All words right out of the KGB handbook.

Waterboarding..... right out of the KGB handbook. We DESPISED them for 50 years for using it. We put people in jail for it after the Germans were brought to justice.

But here we are using it. Not even bothering to change the terminology.

But you have to have lived long enough to experience much of this to actually recognize the patterns.

Many young people cant pull from that experience because they have had it.. And they cant accept it from someone else..... because it destroys their idealistic view of how THEY are going to fix what their parents were too dumb to fix.

EVERY new generation has had the same thoughts.

My parents are so lazy and apathetic. the wont fix any of the world injustices. Well BY GAWD we will.

And of course......every new generation has been wrong on that matter.

Some things cant be fixed simply because they feel right. Our alliances through the years have been horribly complicated and ll conceived.

We are living with the consequences of our constant meddling for riches and or power.

Idealism has NOTHING to do with how the world actually works. It certainly has nothing to do with how this country works.

ne day Vinni will look back on these days and laugh at himself like most of us have and realize the world has hardly any black and white in it and it is mostly gray.

Until then he will be full of righteous indignation and hate. he cant help it actually.

Great post, Bill. I like the letter to Santa idea, it's cute. You are doing quite well ignoring the trolls today. ;o}

I have not been through the whole thread yet, but from what I have seen it is peppered with broad brush statements from narrow minded people.

I thought APW was Melanie Morgan.

I wonder which America is a proven winner. Does the name refer to all of North America or is South America included? Are we disregarding Central America? As to 'proven', by whom? And this proof is where? And then there's the 'winner' part. Won what? Who won? Was there a prize? The implication is that there was a 'loser', who would that be?

Not that the serial copy and paster ever answers questions, or even has an original thought.

1) can you give bill o'rielly a set of boobs and please please give him his period back - his constant menopausing on the air is scaring most of us decent people and if you cant restart his ovaries pumping out the pink estrogen stuff then at least the boobs - because on good boob deserves another (besides i think it would be fun for the bra to be on the other chest dont you think?)

2) can you please give president bush a rubix cube - this should keep him intent until next november just in time for him to start his pardons

3) for dick cheney i wish for new head of hair - i understand men must lose their hair sometimes and this is stately and sohpisticated - but that glare is surely why he couldnt see further than his nose and shot his friend and the reflection surely must be blinding him as to his true position in the world

4) for hoode i would like a chia "bush " pet or one of those aerogardens stocked with pot to aide his relaxation from trolls

5) for ann coulter, a binky - santa do you really need an explanation for this?

6) for hillary clinton - ann coulter's binky from last christmas - because this will be as close to lesbian spit swapping we will see from these two

7) for me santa all i ask is one year free from nail breakage

Special report: Tension escalates in Iraq

Mosul, Iraq, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- A car bomb and gunfire killed two people in Iraq's northern province of Nineveh on Sunday, local police sources said.

A car bomb parked on the main road near the Hamam al-Alil town,40 km south of the provincial capital of Mosul City, detonated near a police patrol, killing a civilian and wounding five policemen, Brigadier Abdul Kareem al-Jubouri, head of the provincial police operations office, told Xinhua.

The attack damaged a police vehicle and several nearby shops and civilian cars, Jubouri said.

OK Bill, I will grant that the soldiers at Walter Reed need something to take their minds off their injuries, but I am still upset over Vets not getting the benefits that they have earned and are clearly entitled to.

I have found that many smaller, local newpapers report on Vets issues better than the MSM. Like this one I found yesterday:

But more than 18 months after he was first wounded in Iraq, Pennington said he is still waiting for the benefits he needs to get an education and move on with his life.

"I would rather be depending on myself," said Pennington, who said he was discouraged by Veterans Affairs personnel from applying to Colby College in Waterville, where he hoped to study political science, because it was too expensive.

He said he also qualifies for about $8,000 worth of adaptive furniture to help him get around his home -- but he has only received a handle with suction cups to help him balance in the shower.

Those are the stories that break my heart.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The number of U.S. military and Iraqi civilian deaths has dropped dramatically, according to recent reports, although American military officials said it is too soon to declare a turning point in the conflict.

Thirty-seven Americans have died in October, the lowest monthly figure since March 2006 when 31 perished, according to the U.S. military.

Three soldiers died Tuesday southeast of Baghdad when a roadside bomb struck a U.S. military patrol.

The number of Iraqi civilians killed in September was 844, down from 1,990 in January, according to Iraqi governmental figures provided to CNN.

Slain bodies found dumped in Baghdad dropped from 428 in August to 301 in September and 151 so far in October, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said.

The numbers mark a decline in fatalities since the war began in March 2003 and point to a decrease in violence after a year of pitched battles and sectarian strife.

Still, cautious U.S. and Iraqi military officials aren't ready to proclaim a decisive moment in the war, saying such an outlook would require the Iraqi government to do a better job of promoting political reconciliation and compromise.

"Well, I think we're almost there," said Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno, the No. 2 U.S. commander in Iraq, interviewed by CNN. "I tell everybody we have momentum. We've not yet created what I consider to be irreversible momentum, but our goal is to create that irreversible momentum."

Other examples of a decline in violence have emerged as well. Watch how a music store owner views the drop in violence »

An Iraqi commander, Lt. Gen. Abud Qanbar, said last week there have been steep decreases in attacks such as car bombings, terrorist operations against Iraqi security forces and civilians, and sectarian assassination attempts.

Iraqi and U.S. officials point to several factors contributing to this decline:

The "surge" offensive added nearly 30,000 U.S. troops this year in Baghdad and insurgent-filled regions near the capital such as Anbar and Diyala provinces.

The Mehdi Army, the militia of the anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, is holding to its cease-fire. Authorities believe the militia has been responsible for killing Sunnis and rival Shiites.

Strides are being made in combating the Sunni-dominated al Qaeda in Iraq.

US commander: Big drop in attacks
Story Highlights
Diyala province still sees some of Iraq's worst violence, U.S. commander says

He warns of "continued spectacular attacks"

Commander: U.S. military has seen "precipitous decline" in bomb attacks

U.S. military: Violence down by as much as 60 to 70 percent in some places

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- The top U.S. commander in northern Iraq warned Wednesday that al Qaeda in Iraq was still capable of staging spectacular attacks, despite a 50 percent drop in bombings and other violence in his region.

Army Maj. Gen. Mark P. Hertling said al Qaeda in Iraq was being pushed north by the increased numbers of U.S. troops that surged into Baghdad over the summer and fall. The insurgents are also being flushed out of Anbar province by "awakening councils" -- groups of Sunni Arab tribesmen the U.S. military has backed to help fight al Qaeda in Iraq and its allies.

"Many of them have transited our province" of Diyala, which has seen some of the worst violence in Iraq, he said. "There are still some very bad things happening in that province, but we are continuing to pursue al Qaeda, so they don't find a safe haven anywhere."

He said al Qaeda extremists could still carry out attacks against infrastructure projects such as bridges.

"You know, there are going to be continued spectacular attacks," he said when asked about the bombing of a bridge across Mosul dam on Monday.

The attack, carried out with a truck bomb, closed the bridge to vehicle traffic and may have been an attempt by insurgents to bring down the dam. It may also have been an effort by insurgents to create a temporary safe haven on one of its banks.

Built in the 1980s on the Tigris River near Mosul, the dam made headlines in June after a report by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said potential erosion of its foundation could cause it to buckle under the water pressure. Such an event could lead to flooding in Mosul and parts of Baghdad, 225 miles to the south.

"We have some intelligence that says it was part of a bigger plot. There is some intelligence that they may have wanted to cut off that side of the river to make safe havens," Hertling said. "There are some indications that they wanted to close that route because it is used by coalition forces."

Hertling added: "I personally think it is an additional indicator that these people who are trying to disrupt the people of Iraq will do anything to screw up the people of Iraq."

He said that during an ongoing operation against insurgents and al Qaeda in western Diyala province, military forces discovered weapons caches, a torture chamber with a bed that was wired to electrocute victims and knives and swords covered in blood.

Violence in Iraq has abated in recent months, and the U.S. military has said it has dropped by as much as 60 to 70 percent in some places.

vince p = lets not play this game again - you and i have been through this before - and youc an post all the muslim horro stories you want - and i can post equally horrifying stories about christianity, or any other faith of your choosing - so stop it - your not a child - act your wasit size please -

i mean come one - 44% of muslims in germany have a fundamental orientation - how does that measure up to 54% of americans believing the earth is only 7000 years old, and the 47% of americans who say the earth might just be flat

get a hold on yourself

i thought your little tantrum about libel and slander was enough to get a break from you for a few days - arent you embarrassed about looking so silly and un informed on the law? how are we supposed to believe you have a grasp pn the world when you cant even grasp basic civil law ?

as a balance to vince p and his race baiting - i would like to say that most muslims like most christians and most jews and most hare krishna's are peaceful easy people

do not make the mistake in blaming a religion for a few radicals = i wouldnt expect it about tim mcviegh or pope sixtus any more than i would bin laden and his loony toons

to vince because he didnt seem to get it the first time:

vince - you hold no sway on this board because you dont have the intelligence to hold an argument on your own and you make posts that point very strongly to a racist mind -

first of all - its not slander or libel - you dont understand the law in this area - your reputation isnt being impuned nor is it clear that you are who you say you are - let alone the fact that using just a first name means that there is no possible way your name can be impuned since you do not have the fame of say true one word namers like madonna or prince - and if you go back now and put your full name in - your lawsuit is effectivly dead in the water because you hyave been informed of the situation - in other words you would be changing your signature (Read thats what it is if you use vince p as opposed to your full name) to further litigation - which would be thrown out of court and you could be tried for fraud.

second of all - if your on a debate site and your debating and someone calls you a liar - then that is not libel - because on a debate site it is impossible to impune your reputation unless they actually lied about you, your sexuality, your sexual or personal behaiviour - none of which this applies to

so stop your crying and if you want to be respected as a conservative on this board like i am - then discuss issues and facts and stop the name calling and bomb throwing and argue with your mind not your sadly misguided heart

as for cavuto - he certainly certainly implies dissent is treason - he might not say it outright - nor does he need to - because sugestion is far more powerful than directly saying it

i think your intellectually dishonest because even a conservative knows that cavuto does this

so yes

i am calling you a liar

wanna sue me?

But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy.

Study: More Veterans Are Uninsured

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: October 30, 2007
Filed at 5:46 p.m. ET
WASHINGTON (AP) -- About one of every eight veterans under the age of 65 is uninsured, a finding that contradicts the assumption many have that all vets qualify for free health care through the Veterans Affairs Department, says a new study.
Researchers at Harvard Medical School projected that about 1.8 million veterans overall lack health coverage. That's an increase of 290,000 since 2000.

The study notes that the VA in January 2003 ordered a halt to the enrollment of most veterans who are not poor. The move was designed to reduce the backlog of patients waiting for care.
But Peter Gaytan, who monitors veterans' issues for the American Legion, said veterans now make as little as about $24,000 a year in some regions and still do not qualify for health coverage from the VA.
''That decision created a large number of veterans who have served in the U.S. military who are denied access,'' Gaytan said.

January, 2003 this regime reduced coverage for vets, 2 months prior to creating an unnecessary war for their own profits

1) Whenever a Muslim community starts to develop a sharia-based idenity of the Ummah vs the Kuffar and they begin to take dawa seriously, then it's only a matter of time before a jihadist enclave forms.

2) All the institutions that the Left dominate will put up all obstacles to addressing the issue..

3) We have Europe as the model... they're probably a good 10 years ahead of us in thier descent into Lebanonization.. we'll get to see what happens when tolerating the intolerable.
Vince P | Homepage | 12.23.07 - 6:03 pm | #

Number 1 makes sense. That said, going to war in muslims countries isn't going to change that. Infiltrating the communities would be better. It's more a police work, or secret service job than anything else.

Number 2 is your partisanship taking control. It doesn't make much sense, but I don't know if you're able to admit it.

Number 3 is you losing it again, probably because you're more afraid than worried, finally, and you only listen to european right wingers, little fascists, racists, neo-nazis.

I think Vinnie P's attitude is something like this: "WAAAAAAAAAAH! I don't want to enlist or get drafted, that's only for working stiffs and poor people. People like me are supposed to MAKE LOTS OF $$$$ from wars, NOT FIGHT OR DIE IN THEM!"

Vet suicides
2007-11-14 | The problem of suicide among veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan has recently been in the news, with the Department of Veteran Affairs promising to beef up its mental health services in response. Veterans of previous conflicts continue to have problems as well, and the VA has estimated that a total of 5000 suicides among veterans can be expected this year.

However, CBS News has now completed a five-month study of death records for 2004-05 which shows that the actual figures are "much higher" than those reported by the VA.

Across the total US veteran population of 25 million, CBS found that suicide rates were more than twice as high as for non-veterans (according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide accounted for 32,439 deaths in 2004).

Speaking for myself, the military is the last place I want Vince.

Our soldiers are trying to create a nation out of the chaos that is Iraq by appealling to the "hearts and minds" of the people. The chance of success is minimal, but with hate-filled souls like Vince deployed, the chance would be zero.

"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than a small one"...Hitler.

What was true in 1942 is still true today. Joseph Goebbels (Nazi Minister of Propoganda) and Karl Rove both had the same mindset and practice...lie to the people at will, wrap yourself in the flag (even if it's a tight fit), and spread fear to the masses with the full power of the government behind you.
It is true, most of us who have never been multi-millionaires or high-rolling politicians have never felt true power. Most of us cannot fathom that President Bush would intentionally ignore 41 seperate direct warnings from the CIA in 2001 concerning an "imminent attack" by Al-Quada. We cannot fathom that our President would let 9.11 happen, on purpose, as an excuse to attack Iraq and let his highly connected oil buddies from Texaco, etc. wrest control of the world's 2nd largest oil reserve...and to let Dick Cheney's Haliburton corporation, among others, reap great profits from a fraudulent war. We just can't seem to wrap our minds around a lie of this magnitude. (most of us)
Nor can we, the average citizen, fathom that our President would actually tell both us and our Congress direct lies concerning Saddam having "mobile weapons labs and yellow cake Uranium", as another way pave the way to a non-sensical, yet highly profitable war. Goebbels and Rove...Cheney and Hitler...if you know your history the similarities are unsettling.

btw vinniepoo

your logic is missing

if ana does not believe in the war, she shouldn't join up

YOU are the one believing in it...or so you say...

And Joe Conason is spot on IMO....

But to play your little game... many people have decided to go to Iraq because they wanted to. and yet I dont see you respecting their opinion by allowing them to do what they elected to do.

Your little game of "your opinion is illegitimate if you didn't serve" is poison btw.
------------------------

ok vince three things here

first of all i support the surge so your point im not letting them do what they do is insane

second i signed up for the military

everyone else here knows that - why dont you? i didnt pass the physical - but i absolutly put my life on the line for them

third -
i wont have you using bad language to talk to me if you cant speak in a good tone then i have no reason to talk to you

fourth - if you push a war you refuse to serve in then yes - you must answer for this

absolutly i believe in that - which is why i signed up

you dont have half the guts or sense of the world i do -

because i actually spent the time to do my best by the people who are huritng in a war i dont support but was willing to fight because pretend consvertives like you only care about demonizing a whole religion rather than understanding or finding a pragmatic way to live your life

so next time - i think you better learn what and who your talking to before making baseless accusations

im the person you wish you could be

im balanced, conservative, i stand up for my beliefs not just on a forum but in the real world

im caring, compassionate and thoughtful

im learned and take the time to do well by others

you dont even have that ability

and the only reason people on here dont say more worse things about conservatism is because some of us like me come here to show we all arent like you

got it?

you dont deserve to be here

and after your little display i will lobby the girls to have you banned

because i will not allow you to speak to me in such a childish and immoral way

Hey wake--claudo makes an excellent point. Has it ever occurred to you that MAYBE the reason the U.S. is so hated in the Islamic world is because of what we've done in the Middle East and NOT "because of our freedoms"? Have you also ever thought about the possibility that another reason we're so hated is because of our unconditional support of Israel? Mark my words: the Islamic world has known this irrefutable fact for the last 60 years: as long as there's a U.S., there will be an Israel. THINK ABOUT IT.

Probably. But it's not because Kosovars are muslims, it's because they are albanians, and want a total independence from the Serbs.

Merry Almost-Christmas, all!

Another fine effort by Bill. I'm a late poster as we were without power all day, but I dutifully read all the posts. Once again, it's evident that Bill knows how to motivate the trollies.
Once truth that doesn't seem to dent the skulls of the trolls is that those who advocate for war and killing owe it to themselves to be true to their beliefs and, by example, lead the rest of the country in combat. Or at least convince a child or two to join the noble effort.
But it never seems to work that way, does it? Instead some of our most fervent activists spend their time here threatening litigation.
Ah, well.

Cut & paste. Off topic.

ummm well isreal has a problem

they drew their borders too large and in so doing increased their population - the problem is that there will be more palestinians in isreal than isrealis by 2020 - which of course means isreal will cease to exist - democraticly - the irony is overwhelming

of course there is one way for isreal to stop this

that is deny the palestinians the vote
and institute s.a. style aparthied

so either isreal commits human rights abuses or ceases to exist

the moral thing is for isreal to cease to exist - and the only people to blame are the isreali's

anyone notice a rise in sniper attacks in iraqnam?

although in HIS OWN WRITING in the military handbook on counterinsurgency, he states that to quell an insurgency the size of iraqnam, it would take over 500k troops?

The best strategy, and only strategy, to defend the homeland is to chase the killers down, one at a time, and bring them to justice. It's if they're in a cave, we head into a cave. If they're in some shadowy neighborhood, we'll finally put the spotlight on the shadowy neighborhood.
What killers? The killers of Sept. 11 are dead, Dubya. Are we defending the homeland from ghosts or from people who have yet to kill anyone? I love "shadowy neighborhood". Davenport, Iowa, Sep. 16, 2002

tonight , like i do many nights i will talk to god and ask her to give us peace on earth and bring pragmatism to the world -
only tonight i will speak to jesus also

i dont know if jesus is god or part of god or a messiah and i dont think it matters

some of the greatest people ever to live werent christians - ghandi, the buddha, mother theresa , i could go on

but jesus still means something he means peace and goodwill and something the trolls like vince clearly doesnt understand

how could a little buddhist girl take his teachings more to heart than those who claim to fight in his name is beyond me - but tonight i send my thoughts in his general direction

i only hope that we can find a way to peacefully come together - its not what makes us the same that should bring us together - what a boring world that would be - its what makes us different that makes us human

some of the people on here do humanity a disservice they cant overcome their animalistic violent behaiviour

i will pray for them also

to you who put up with this demoralizing insignificant dribble everyday on here - i applaud your strength and your service to our country and our world

I tink McCain has the same baggage as Hillary and that is that they are part of the machine. Both candidates seem too willing to go along with the status quo to get ahead.

IMHO, we need a sea change in the way the country is run and I don't see either of McCain or Clinton doing that.

Having said that I believe both are fine public servants, I just think they're too entrenched.

excellent

hayduke - because i think the problem is leadership and i think he has at least that - bush had no leadership ability whatsoever

a leader doesnt tell his people not to sacrifice he inspires them to sacrifice for the better good

i could be wrong about giuliani - but i do believe he has leadership qualities

im quite willing to suspend my personal ideologies for someone who will inspire america to be a better country - we are really suffering at the moment - we have lost our way, our goodness, our goals, our principles and its time we were motivated to something better before we are left in the dust - guiliani has qualities i like - he is for equality for all people including gys and lesbians, thats something that would help america tremendously - they are 10% of our country - and if we even just managed to incorporate them into the american fold america would be so much better off for it - by giving people the ability to self actualization we actually grow up as a people

thats what america needs right now - somehow to grow up

And I agree with radmod...

McCain sold his his principles, if not his soul...

i dont understand how he sold his soul tho

he supports the surge but he didnt suppord the war - i think thats a good thing - i know you all disagree with me on this - but i dont think he went against his principles

although you wont find me changing my principles to suit the people - im not a politician - i just think its better to hae someone good win even if they have to say whatever they need to to win and have that person become a great president

I believe we (humans) have a tendency to dislike those who we believed had principles and then gave them up more than those who never had them in the first place (at least to our perspective).

america has many great traits - like i said long ago about the michael vick thing - america should be proud of the outrage over that incident - something that wouldnt happen in most of the rest of the world

the point is to not close down america - but open it up bring it back into the fold to celebrate its good things and work on its faults - thats how england got better - no one isolated england after their abuses in ireland - and england benefitted tremendouslyt for that reason - she really came into herself - and i think its because people learned to celebrate the good things about the uk and work on the issues

Certainly not. The problem is that Americans want change but they don't want to sacrifice for the change AND they want it now with a minimum of hassle.
Real change is glacial.
For real change to occur, first the money itself has to be taken out of politics. But since the money is what creates the politics, it ain't gonna happen.

This YOUTUBE spoof of FOX NEWS saluting the Twelve Days of Christmas is both hilarious and sad because it highlights what a low brow news organization Fox News really is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y...3lJec7_QbQ& NR=1

ana coachella | Homepage | 12.23.07 - 8:13 pm |

hmm, difficult to see the future is.

You haven't been around lately so I will point out what you might have missed. In the last 40 years or so, no Dem front-runner has ever won the nomination unless they were the heir-apparent (e.g. Gore, Mondale). I could easily see the following:
Obama's support is softer than most might expect, especially since alot of it comes from youths who may not vote (as always happens in Prez campaigns). Hillary is viewed as hated by most of America and that may turn the heads of the Dems but her support in Iowa is, for the most part, stronger.
However, just like in 2004 I could easily see that the extra 10% or so undecided could go mostly for Edwards allowing him the victory (remember undecideds tend to go against incumbents/front-runners).

If that occurs, Obama is done for - just like Dean. Disillusioned supporters would rather go to Edwards than Clinton and next thing you know it could steamroll to Edwards (though not like it did to Kerry last time). Even then, Clinton would be tough to beat.

On the Rep side, I predicted Huckabee's rise months ago when I saw that Thompson was going nowhere. If you look at the polling graphs you'll see that Huckabee's rise almost exactly coincides with Thompson's fall. However, the establishment doesn't want Huckabee and I don't think he can win a national. That leaves Guiliani who many don't like, Romney who many don't trust because he's a Mormon, and McCain. While I don't think the party really cares about Iowa that might a really good showing by McCain may give him NH and then it'll be McCain as the pick vs. the guys with the money.

Your post seems to point out that politics determines the outcome of elections.
Is that what you are trying to point out?

ana coachella | Homepage | 12.23.07 - 8:19 pm

There's no point I want to put across, just saying I know how Russ from the UK feels.

I've waited through too many war funding bills, hoping that the next one is where the democrats will put their foot down, to have any kind of hope for the future. They were both always the same party and now they've even stopped pretending to be opposition parties. That only happens towards the end.

The US is not going anywhere but it's never going back to the country it used to be. God, I loved that country.

I'll watch from the sidelines and see what happens. If I was an outsider, I'd get me a couch and order some popcorn but I'm not in that kind of a mood.

Ana, how did Rudy "inspire a country in mourning"? The way I see it, he was just there, POSING with the NYC firefighters, with his artificial little flag badge stuck to his lapelle for all the cameras to see. He was posing for the cameras in the days after 9.11, just like Bush was merely posing for the cameras. Acting, if you will. What inspiration? I'm sorry, but I don't get it.

Hayduke--hasta la victoria! | Homepage | 12.23.07 - 8:31 pm

Okay!
I'll say this once!
Orance belongs at the top of the list!

I realize you have the right to your opinion, but why would you want to be wrong? :)

ana coachella | Homepage | 12.23.07 - 8:16 pm |

It's sad but I think you may be right. Of all the Reps he is the most likely to cause some kind of change. The problem I have is two-fold. I never liked Bush but I never thought he would turn out so horrible nor that the party would go so far right (despite the book I abandoned in the 90's that predicted exactly that). As such, I have a HUGE problem voting Republican.
Second, I cannot condone his personal adventures. Not necessarily what he has done (really a private matter), but how he has done it (e.g. the whole divorce thing). I just think the guy is a sleaze-ball b/c of that.

If you ONLY WATCH one video on my post, I suggest you watch this one. It will tear your heart out and explains why I won't let FOX NEWS get away with sugarcoating the IRAQ war.

Ah, well.

MICHELLE, MICHELLE, MICHELLE: Sorry I missed you. I caught your earlier post and yes I have been staying away from the troll cave. I hate stepping in troll droppings. And I agree with you there should be more stories on the mistreatment of the vets, but there seems to be a lid on them ever since the Walter Reed scandal. Anyway, thanks for dropping in. Come back soon.

BILL CORCORAN, just catching up after a busy, busy day.

He said he also qualifies for about $8,000 worth of adaptive furniture to help him get around his home -- but he has only received a handle with suction cups to help him balance in the shower.

http://morningsentinel.mainetoda...al/ 4587125.html

Those are the stories that break my heart.

These stories should piss off Americans to the point of doing something about it.

But, then again, it would probably cost money, right?

Sorry. I'll mind my own business now.

I mean, this is the greatest country in the world, right?

So I guess the Vets are getting what they deserve.

After all, if they weren't stupid or careless enough to get wounded, they would still have a job with the military and how much medical care would they REALLY need?

The key to understanding the troll mind

When you attempt to give an answer to one of their questions and they blow your answer off, the rest is a piece of cake. You know they are NOT serious about the topic at hand. They are NOT serious about a hearing and an evaluation of the facts on the ground.

WELCOME BACK TO THE FAMILY OF CIVILISED NATIONS.

Cheers to The Newshounds and thanks for your continued great work.

stcroix | 12.23.07 - 9:16 pm

I think you know what MLP meant in that comment. So why drag it out?

Who was the last leader of a country to lead his country in combat?
stcroix | 12.23.07 - 9:05 pm |

Except for small-time-warlords, I hate to say this but technically I think it might be Saddam Hussein who took personal command of Iraqi forces in Desert Storm.

American-wise I don't think there ever has been a Prez to do so. Jackson and TR certainly would've I have no doubt. The closest would be Lincoln who actually did go to battlefields during war-time (as did Ike) and perhaps Madison who barely escaped the burning of the WH - those would probably be closest.

Russ,

Fuck it!
If friends can't tolerate the occasional break from character, they need to look at themselves.
However, I think your friends here already know that.

Just remember though, when you make comments here like you did, you are making them to people (for the most part) who care.
They still belong to the family of civilised nations. It's only their country who doesn't.

Cheers to you as well because you obviously care.

And, Happy Christmas.

A 5th grade teacher in Pittsburg Pa was ranting about the Steelers playing the Cleveland Browns and how the Steelers were so great. He asked if anybody was a Browns fan. One little boy raised his hand.

The teacher asked him why he was a Browns fan. The little boy said his father was a Browns fan and his mother was a Browns fan. So he was too.

The teacher said, well what if your father was an idiot and your mother was a moron, what would that make you?

MORE VIOLENCE IN IRAQ THAT FOX NEWS WILL SKIP.....

2 killed in violence in northern Iraq

www.chinaview.cn 2007-12-23 21:55:49 Print

In separate incident, gunmen shot dead Iraqi Army Lieutenant Colonel Nayif al-Shimmari while he was driving his car in western Mosul City, a local police source said.

Meanwhile, gunmen also blew up the house of Abdul Mawjood Jar-Allah, head of the Qairawan town hall, 30 km east of Mosul, destroying his house without causing human casualty, Dekheel Qassim, mayor of the nearby Sinjar City, told Xinhua by telephone.

Mosul, some 400 km north of Baghdad, has been the hot bed of insurgency and sectarian violence since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.

BILL,
I understand wanting to keep threads on topic, but when they exceed 660 posts, don't you think you can ease up a bit and let the good people who keep you going stray a bit?

sorry guys was away making dinner but back now

bill i did want to say - what your doing - pointing out the stories that not just fox - but msnbc and cnn are missing in iraq is great - we are wont to be ignorant about the war - it makes us feel better about it - a comfortability we should never have

when do you think newshounds will bring in a conservative but fair blogger to write about fox news - i think it could go a long way to bring in criticism of the channell from the other side and help newshounds appeal to a greater audience too

there are some good conservative bloggers who are fair and not wingnuts

to abbey - i understand - i just hope we can come together and end this split thats tearing us apart

to russ - you dont have to explain yourself to me sweety = been through enough of these to know your sentiment - and equally understand - i have moments where im just fed up with the system too - people like vince who make many of us on the right feel ashamed of what we stand for are the cause usually

tomato soup rocks!~!!

You know, some billions here some billions there (for the troops, for the troops) and pretty soon you're talking about some serious petty cash.

But, as long as it doesn't reach the level of some serious money, there's nothing that cannot be solved by more tax cuts, eh?

Four More Years! Four More Years!! Four More Years!!!

Why? Remember 2004? Only those who drove us into the ditch are qualified enough to drive us out of the ditch just as only those who ignored 52 warnings of impending attacks of 9/11 can be trusted with out National Security.

Things are improving now. Mistakes were made (by someone else) but the current plan is working. Now we're making progress. We're turning the corner. Al Qaeda is on the run. Iran saw what we did to Iraq and gave up it's nuclear weapons programs.

Tune to CNN right now and watch the story of Yusuf somebody. It's a good story. It will help you forget those millions of Iraqi children dying of disease and hunger and those millions more that are orphaned and displaced. It will also help you forget that maybe a couple of them may have been killed by us, accidentally of course.

It's all good.

ana,

Be careful.
A very good friend of mine got pulled over by the RCMP for speeding. She also had two pounds of grass in her car.
But, she also is very well endowed. So she pulled down the tube top she was wearing only to find the officer was a female.
It turned out okay because the officer joked about being too obvious while she wrote up the ticket for speeding.
She didn't think to search the car.

My point is:
I've always wanted to tell that story.

I am probably going to start a war here, but this needs to be said. Wonder what the Iraqis think of Christians now... People in this country are so isolated and out of touch and the dumber they are, the less vision they have to understand how and why the world rightfully hates us. With the military pushing Christianity, if I was undecided about religion, Christianity would not be a choice because it is and always has been violent. The reason some people in this country (esp the bible bangers) can overlook it is because they are so used to the violence, rapes, murders, etc condoned in the bible and blamed on God. The amazing part is that the Xtians (I say x because these people are nothing like Christ) can't see it.

I do not have sympathy for anyone in the military who joined after the war. I do feel for those who are in the Guard who had no idea their president would lead them to an unnecessary war of lies. But for the rest of them who could have and should have gotten themselves informed before joining, shame to death on you.

Fair Shar

maybe your (im sure lovely) wife will be pleased we got you all fired up!!

Vince P | 12.23.07 - 11:56 pm

Why don't you take your Muslim hating racist redneck ass someplace else?

stcroix | 12.23.07 - 9:35 pm |

Well, IIRC, Hussein's involvement is standard Hussein; that is he had personal control over the War, failed miserably, and when all was lost, hightailed it, praying to Allah the Allies wouldn't catch and kill him.

Sharin,

Where to start?

The world does not hate you.
The world is upset with what you (as a country) have done, but they do not hate you.
The reason they don't hate you, is because they know you are out of touch and you don't understand what your country is really doing.
Also, the military is not pushing Christianity.
They don't know enough to do so. Even if they did push it, the Iraqi's con't really care what religion a person believes right now. Would you care what religion your neighbour was if you you didn't know where your next meal was going to come from?

You say you don't have any sympathy for the people who have voluntered to serve your country.
I really do not understand this.

If there was a full scale attack on the USA, would you still feel this way?

Okay, Gotcha.
But what I was asking was if there ever was a leader of a country who actually went out on the battlefield and led his army.

Sharin Bowers | 12.23.07 - 11:41 pm |

The sad thing is there are people out there who have nothing else but to join the military.

My dad was career military. While he won't ever admit he told me this story, this is typical of my dad:
His family grew up literally dirt poor in the mountains of VA. They needed a new bull but couldn't afford it. He reasoned that if the Army would pay for his housing, food, etc. and still pay him, then he could save all his money to buy a bull so he joined. Even if he was shipped off to Korea (he was) and killed, then the death benefits would still by a bull.
It had really nothing to do with patriotism even though he believed in defending his country, it was a cold, hard calculation of how to support the family (he was the oldest).

You feel ashamed becauase I speak up against the abuse of women and gays and minorities and all the other victims of Sharia law?

If there was a full scale attack on the USA, would you still feel this way?
stcroix | 12.24.07 - 12:03 am |

Well, personally, I don't think I've ever met a single person who disagrees with the invasion of Afghanistan (just the screwups there). I have no doubt there are some, even here, but I think most Americans still believe that was the right thing to do.
Iraq, OTH, ...

he was actually out there screaming about the "mother of all battles."
radmod | 12.24.07 - 12:11 am

But Bush was pretty much doing that as well, but he didn't really lead the troops into battle.

Old Vinnie seems to care about women and gays being abused in Muslim countries. But he could give a shit what goes on in this country.

To Radmod

Yes, I do understand that some people join the military because they like the money, esp what is being promised to them today. However, the part I have a problem with is that they claim they are Christian and yet join a war to kill -- illegally and immorally in a war that now everyone (even if they won't admit it) knows we were KNOWINGLY lied into.

However, I have seen kids here in my city who don't have a lot of alternatives. With the mess of the economy, bush gets his soldiers. The entire thing is broken.

Terrorism is worse than ever. I resent mothers of soldiers who yell at me and my bumper sticker and say their daughter or son is making me safe. NO THEY AREN'T...WE ARE LESS SAFE THAN BEFORE 9/11. Homeland INsecurity is grossly underfunded, bush was shamed into it in the first place by Max Cleland, and -- we are killing people and destroying their lives -- who had nothing to do with 9/11, terrorism or Bin Laden.

If only our kids had more opportunities rather than joining a war...but why do they lie? Why not just say -- they were duped? Some do, but most of them pretend they are doing something for the rest of us. That is what gets to me.

BTW, my Dad was just like yours. He was dirt poor in Ohio and joined during WWII in order to at least have a job. In fact, he and two brothers all joined. One of my uncles was killed at Normandy. I think because of past wars, people are confused about unnecessary wars of nation building and stealing other countries' assets.

Thanks for you reply because this is an important point you make about the poor not having many alternatives.

Fair Shar

stcroix | 12.24.07 - 12:17 am |

But Bush wasn't on the front lines, Hussein was. I'm still trying to find the reference here, but I believe there was one report that one of the maneuvers by the Iraqi army (possibly part of 'Easting')was a suicide mission designed to delay the Allied Armored thrust to allow Hussein and others to escape.

Sharin Bowers | 12.24.07 - 12:11 am | #

The author of the article is a discredited Far-Left hack

His resignation came about a week before Dow Jones published the second of two extensive corrections of a March 18 article by Mr. Leopold and another reporter. The corrections there and in The Wall Street Journal, which also published the article, invalidated virtually all of the major points of the article, which accused Enron of compensating several executives excessively.

Maviglio, who now works for the California legislature, says that Leopold "just got it completely wrong" and that he never "confided" in Leopold. He says his lawyer sent the publisher a letter demanding that the material Maviglio deems defamatory be removed.

***
This is my point...they are not defending my country. Read anywhere, read the reports congress gets about terrorism numbers. It is UP, not down, and the Iraq Group (bi partisan) say it is because of our actions in Iraq.

So, my point is, the soldiers are making things worse...I do not want their lives on my hands or blamed for so called "defending me" because the opposite is happening. I know they are just pawns, but what I object to is that some are willingly used.

Y'know now that I think about it, all the (modern) 'leaders' that spring to mind as actually being on the battlefield were assholes: the "Generalissimos", Mao, Hitler, Il Duce, etc.
Does this mean there is some relation to being a whacko leader to being crazy enough to appear on the battlefield? Hmm.

I take it, Shar, that you are not a 'brat' (raised in a military family).
What many people have problems understanding is the military mind. A lot of it is faith, namely that if they are sent to fight somewhere they have faith that it is the right thing to do, that perhaps the powers that be know something more than all the news reports and intelligence say. They HAVE to believe that or they couldn't do their job.
Quite frankly, I admire that though I have far more faith in reason.

I don't know about our bandwidth but I doubt it could handle enough of our own sick people...

Republican teacher and former city councilman John Collins pleaded guilty to sexually molesting 13 and 14 year old girls.

Okay, I have a confession to make.
When I said I went through basic training, what I meant was Canadian basic training.
That being said, I would be interested to know how much American recruits can earn in a year.
Again, I was in the Canadian military, so I am sure what I made wasn't quite the same.
But, I didn't have to face combat, so even if I made close to what your guys made, I think it would somehow be comparable.

Understood. Over & Out.

Let's not forget the Old Testament?
Death by stoning can occur:
For touching Mount Sinai
For taking "accursed things"
For cursing or blaspheming
For adultery (including urban rape victims who fail to scream loud enough)
For animals (like an ox that gores a human)
For a woman who is not a virgin on her wedding night
For worshipping other gods
For preaching the wrong religion
For disobeying parents
For witches and wizards
For giving your children to Molech
For breaking the Sabbath
For cursing the king

Fortunately, and partly because of secularism, Christianity and Judaism have outgrown that, just as Islam will.

How sick is that, Whiny baby?

as for the military - there are many reasons people join the military - wether after 911 or before it - some join to kill, some enjoy the power it gives them, some join because its a family legacy and tradition, others because of poverty = i believe without knowing each persons reasons its only fair to give them sympathy and support unless you know they joined for the more unseemly reasons

i think everyone on here supports our troops - its easy to go after nameless people - but to know them personally im sure all of you support them

stcroix | 12.24.07 - 1:36 am

Then again...

it could be for your obnoxious insistance regarding Orance!

ana: unless you're part of the coven that runs this place, then the statement didn't pertain to you.

If you are a right winger like you claim, then you'll know that taking offensive on behalf of other people goes against principle... please try to be less personally involved so that your emotions dont override your reason.

I am sick of this. I'll probably piss somebody off but I want to put a stop to this.

MT thinks Stcroix is Uber-troll. That's the problem. Stcroix says he is not.

ana: unless you're part of the coven that runs this place, then the statement didn't pertain to you.

how do you know if i am or if im not?

that aside - apart from helping early when the site started with some research on cavuto for ellen im not - its still offensive to call a group of women that when being used a as a slur - which it was

your really piling them up tonight vince

you should apologize to the ladies - and to the lesbians who you just slurred by using it in the way that you did - especially since the ladies provide u a place to vent your hate

what would you do if newshounds wasnt here to give you a forum for your hate?

so do the right thing and apologize

its easy and people would actually respect you for it

ana coachella | Homepage | 12.24.07 - 1:47 am | #

I am not sure but I think Vince just said that if you are a conservative like you claim you shouldn't care about anybody but yourself.

oh come on - there is no such mantra in the right wing - a real right wing mantra is stand up for those you respect

i happen to hold the ladies who run this site in very high regard - and have known them for years

so if you think by some misguided ideal that my ideology overrules my loyalty to my friends then your wrong

very very wrong

you have no idea about honor i presume

Count Istvan | Homepage | 12.24.07 - 1:46 am

Hmmmm...

I hadn't noticed a resemblance, but then again, I only recently took notice of stcroix's posts....

I wasn't calling them Lesbian, interloper... I was calling them Radical Leftists.

Besides even if I did call them that (which I didnt) , are you saying it's an insult to be a lesbian?

Vince P | 12.24.07 - 1:50 am

It surely is when issued from your lips!

Hey Vinnie...

I've noticed that you've become quite coy with me with respect to the Pacella family...

gettin' too close for comfort...?

Count Istvan | Homepage | 12.24.07 - 1:38 am

If you mean I know that she has a misunderstanding about who I am because she thinks my isp is in the same state as some one she doesn't like, than I guess you are right and I should stop posting on HER INTERNET.

If you mean because she knows the difference, Well, I guess the answer would be the same.

Vince P | 12.24.07 - 1:50 am | #

------------------

thats a silly little cavuto-esque game your playing vince and no one buys it - you used it as a slur because it refers to strong independant usually lesbian women - and that has been a slur against strong minded intelligetn women for years on end

you knew exactly what you were doing - so this playing possum after you post a slur and trying to turn it around on other people is disgraceful

at least stand by your statements and apologize when needed

but thats a prime example of cowardice in my humble opinion

and yes im on edge tonight - i do not appreciate being cursed at or being called a slut -

so just watch yourself or i will make sure to make your life here unbearable
and i dont need to use a slur or bad words to do it

im quite capable of doing it calmly and intelligently

unlike yourself who cant get three posts out without saying something horrid about some one or some group

one day you will remember this when your older and be embarrassed about how you have conducted yourself

It happens. It's no big deal. You're better off than some for sure because I've been banned - twice - and both times without warnings or probation of any kind, but that's life and life goes on.

The moderators have a tough, thankless, and with our multi-puppet troll "infestation", difficult job and it's impossible for them to read and parse every off-topic comment in it's full context.

It's no big deal really. Trust me.

gettin' too close for comfort...?

yeah this Vince strikes me as being genuinely nuts.

Count Istvan,

Yes I know she is watching my posts.
I have know idea what she is watching them for, and I have no idea what her reasoning is for deleting is.
Are you happy with the fact that anyone who posts on this site can be deleted with no explanation?

But, I guess if you have nothing to hide, or no reason for MT to get pissed off you, you don't have to worry.

stcroix | 12.24.07 - 1:59 am | #

Are you still posting here? If so move on. It's Christmas eve for goodness sake.

stcroix, Take it down a notch. Your last few posts aren't helping your cause.

Vinnie Pee has lost all semblance of respectability with me and many others here...

I figure he isn't the Vinnie Pachella I knew, anyway...

but he's gotta be family

oh my gosh it really must be christmas!!!!!

this is a first isnt it?

lol - want a jameson whisky nogg with me before i go to bed?

Somebody who will remember this better than I needs to cache Vinnie's statement about "then you'll know that taking offensive on behalf of other people goes against principle."

Thus, when he or any other RWer complains about comments about BORe et al taking offense on behalf of other people we can remind them that it is not in the RW mantra.

I was raised a Southern Conservative and I dare you to verbally abuse anyone in a Southerner's family. Then I'll send some flowers to your grave.

ana,
buenas noches...

felíz noche buena!

*hands hayduke a whisky nogg too

Merry Christmas Ana.

Even though we fight, I acknoweldge there's a thinking person over there... a rarity in this place

merci bien mon amie hayduke

lol - want a jameson whisky nogg with me before i go to bed?
ana coachella | Homepage | 12.24.07 - 2:07 am | #

Sure. And happy holidays.

brb gonna put them in the microwave

since you guys are here in spirit ill hafta drink them myself

not to worry tho - i need a good knock out drink cuz this year im spending christmas by myself

radmod: I don ’t subject myself and my individuality to any group... I don’t participate in groupthink.

I claim no responsibility for what other people and frankly couldn't care less. I speak for me.

Leftists always fail to get it... conservatives dont think in terms of Group Identity like you do.

And Bill OR is not a conservative.. he's a populist. He specificly disclaims being conservative.

He says this after claiming a RW mantra, LOL!
And he says BORe isn't a Conservative. Why? B/c Billo says he isn't!
It just keeps getting funnier and funnier!
What a moron!
You ever hear of that little thing that goes like "Actions speak louder than words." In case you never figured it out, it means that one shouldn't listen to what people claim but what they do and what they really say.

You ever figure that's why people think you are a racist prick, eh?

Alright, I can't stop laughing after that moronic bit of Vinnie's so I'll bid y'all a good night.

Are you still posting here? If so move on. It's Christmas eve for goodness sake.
Count Istvan | Homepage | 12.24.07 - 2:00 am

Yeah, I'm still posting here.
But then, you know I'm an atheist.
Why would christmas eve mean anything to me?
Why are there so many other people posting here.
Are all the rest of the people posting atheists too?
Not that I want them to answer, cause it's kind of a personal decision isn't it?

stcroix | 12.24.07 - 2:24 am |
Working.
Though you don't have to be a Christian to celebrate the secular part of Christmas (e.g. Santa).

Any case, Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night.

It's still a holiday that most people don't want to spend wondering why their post made anonymously on a message board got erased. Maybe that's how you like to go through life. And you've got it easier than most here. I don't see anybody hijacking your name.

Bible doesn't mention Christmas so I don't observe it.

Radmod I am checking out too. between Vince's moronic nonsense and Stcroix still posting about another post made 3 hours ago I'd say this thread has run it's course.

Happy Holidays to all.
