Shoot the messenger is that all you have?

Who is going to fix Iraq and Afghanistan, who is going to fix this economy, and deal with the issues on education and healthcare?

We have had eight years of bungle under the Republican controlled government. Now we are look for someone who will clean up the Republican mess. We are looking for a change.

The message America wants to hear is the message of change. We want to erase Bush's policy and Bush from our memory.

The Dems solution to the world's affairs is to appease terrorists-i.e. give them habeas corpus rights and taxpapyer lawyers. The Dems favorite lobby the NEA has run the public schools in the USA since at least the 1970's and look at them. Some urban schools spend 16,000 a student and yet the NEA flacks still say its not enough.

The Dems say we need to fix the mortgage crisis. I agree the poor chumps that buy and have to refurbish trashed forcelosed houses definitely need someone looking out for them.

"The Dems solution to the world's affairs is to appease terrorists-i.e. give them habeas corpus rights and taxpapyer lawyers"

No, Kevin, it's not about "appeasing terrorists," it's about constitutional right to due process or is that something you oppose. As the law stands, I could be labelled a "terrorist" and would thus be denied by right to due process - something that is consistent with fascism - democracy, not so much.

Personally I could care less who wins on the Democrat side but since there seems to be a lot of Hillary worshippers on the staff here I'm rooting for Barak Osama.

Bush created the biggest government waste in United States History. The Dept Of Homeland Security. It's just another bloated agency of money waste. At the cost of billions. A toilet bowl of taxpayers money.

Bush created the largest debt in US history.

Bush is the first dead beat president in United States history. Bush isn't paying for a war that he started. He is borrowing the money for this war and dumping the cost of the war onto a future generation that isn't even born yet. That makes Bush the deadbeat of US history.

So bigger government is the answer?

Maybe you and your republican pals can take up contributions towards VA care which is now costing billions thanks to your beloved crusade. Yeah, let's eliminate "big government" (i.e. benefits for disabled vets and their families). These folks should just get a grip and take responsibility for themselves. Terrorist suspects need Habeas Corpus and lawyers. Suspects, get it? Suspects are innocent people guilty of nothing only charged with something.

The Dems want innocent people to get all due protections under the law. That may sound like a strange concept to you but that used to be one of the pillars this country was built on.

No one said anything about eliminating government.

If you squandered every opportunity for an education to end up an unemployable semi-literate loser, that's your problem, not mine. If you've destroyed your health with cigarettes and fast food ... then by what right do you demand that people who lived their lives more responsibly than you cover the cost of your medical care. You cry about your "right" to health care. You dare to claim a right to the services of another human being to correct problems you created for yourself?

But back to the story. I'm surprised that McCauliffe was able to say so much on Fox. Carlson's attempts to turn things negative were ineffective and relatively few; no doubt she got a write-up from her bosses and a warning to get nastier next time.

Truth be told, FOX created this by continuing to paint the GOP as of the party of values.

Now, they're stuck with Huckabee because he's the only Republican who can lay a viable claim to having the values shared by FOX voters.

I work in a mental health crisis unit. We get people in all the time who are 100% disabled. And they really are. Many of them are psychotic most of the time and couldn't hold a job for an hour, much less support themselves.

The government thinks these folks should be able to get by on $604.00 per month.

The one silver lining is that they have medicaid or medicare so at least their medical is taken care of.

Imagine the medical costs a person incurs if they are generally unable to care for themselves as well as being 100% disabled either physically or medically.

Of course the GOP thinks they're giving these folks too much because anyone who needs $604 a month to get by on must be living too extravagantly.

Maybe not but if the parents were motivated to stop leeching off society they would sell the kids into white slavery when they're young and more valuable.

Hang in there! It's fun watching Basil trying to egg you on. Assuming (& it's a large one) that he isn't a troll in sheep's clothing, I haven't seen a real Maoist since the early 70's. I thought they were extinct.

Hayduke- I 'm sure you mean Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. Whom a friend of mine( Boulder, Colorado native) claims is responsible for more environmental damage to Colorado than anyone else except the energy and mining interests , and the Army Corps of Engineers. He attributes that to John Denver's tendency to entice people to emigrate to Colorado due to his sappy music.

donquijotesrocket | Homepage | 01.02.08 - 1:15 pm

My bad...

obviously that was reaching way way back into the further recesses of the cobwebs!

A blown opportunity for FOX because Gretchen doesn't know how to interview the opposition yet.

DQRocket,

You may remember that John Denver also sang about the beauties of West Virginia. Problem is that the Shenandoah river is on the Virginia side of the border. Ah well, since when does ART have to conform to geography?

Sorry to be so off topic. I'm watching my retirement crash with the stock market.

donquijotesrocket | Homepage | 01.02.08 - 1:15 pm

Reminded of a Nat'l Lampoon parody of JD...

The baby didn't die
till we ran outta wood
considerin' we ate her raw
she tasted pretty good
Oh Colorado's callin' me....

DB | 01.02.08 - 1:14 pm

I only respond to Basil's drivel when an observation is called for...

otherwise best to avoid its inane blather....

I'm an Edwards supporter but I thought Terry McCaullife was great on Ed Schultz's show today

"This is not reality. "All" of the jobs went to china? Laughable."

What's laughable is the number of troll boys contually changing their names. Keep buying all your crap at Walmart because they have been a great mover of day-to-day manufacturing jobs to CHina and the third world. All's fair, right?

Now, back on topic,

The trolls are literally pissing their pants over this next election because they know their best man is nothing but a MONSTER in the eyes of most Americans and the Greasy Old Pedophile party has literally pantsed itself into oblivion. Hey, isn't the Republican congressman still serving his term after he said he'd quit after he was caught trolling for gay men in the airport restroom? Mr. wide stance? eh? Typical republican liar. That must be why the trolls love republicans - all of them came out of the same onerous lying nest of un-American snakes.

Basil drop the sockpuppet and go back to your usual rightwingnut trollboy persona. You're not fooling anyone. With that kind of brains, I'll bet we're looking at a g-dwog personna. eh?

The trolls are particularly stupid today.

homeless bum | 01.02.08 - 11:50 am

Only a conservative or a rightwing nut would make fun of the homeless. I hope this sockpuppet is feeling proud. I'm sure their mother is proud of them (not).

Sigh. The "family values" and "compassionate conservative" crowd are reallllly something these days.

Republicans "like" Obama because they want to run against him.
For them, what could be better than running against,

"an unqualified, untested black Muslim named Hussein?"

BTW, what changes is Obama going to make, anyone know?

Unfortunately for you, there's no such person running for president.

The stupidity of these trolls never ceases to amaze me. They think that just because a person has an arabic name he's automatically a muslim.

Proud Kennel Club Member 01.02.08 - 11:13 am

Name a single "staff member" here who supports Hillary.

FrankC | 01.02.08 - 2:57 pm

To them, anyone with brown skin is bad; but anyone with brown skin and an Arabic sounding name is a teeerrrrst. And this is the racist crowd that Fox will be playing to if Obama wins the nomination.

And regarding Mrs. Romney as "hot" - how juvenile (and sexist) is that??? I mean she's an attractive woman; but so is Michelle Obama, Cindy McCain, and Jheri Thompson (we won't go there). But then the lil fiends are into superficialities.

POLICE SEARCH FOR ESCAPED PRISONER
http://www.foxnews.com/story/ 0,2...,319471,00.html

This inmate serving a life sentence overpowered guards, took their guns and escaped. He then carjacked someone and shot them in the head.

Do you want to know the big shocker? He is a black inmate ... imagine that.

Hopefully the police kill this scumbag when they catch him and they just say that he came at them with a weapon. He is another worthless black inmate that serves no purpose in society and should be killed.

No one interviews McCauliffe well. He is always dancing. Rarely answers the questions put to him.

And if there are no other jobs?

jobs, jobs, and more jobs.

.................

Let me guess you're a right to lifer?

Monster.com is a great place to find a job, that's for sure. Unfortunately, they just don't have enough jobs, and the variety of jobs necessary to make a functional, self-sustaining and independent working environment within the US. Doggy, I can forgive your lack of knowledge as an indicator of your rather young stature (even in dog years). Thinking Monster.com is a job outlet for everyone who needs a job is very naive, even for a professional mircrowave burrito taste tester like yourself. In fact, try to find a position for a professional microwave burrito taste tester on Monster.com and you'll see what I mean.

You really have no idea how bad the employment situtation is in this country do you (rhetorical question, I don't expect an answer from you since you are incapable of insight). You, really, only know what your masters and talking puke bags like Rush tell you, right?

Here's an idea. Chuck it all, go on the road for a couple of years hitch hiking and living with no job, like the "bums" you like to denigrate. That will give you some true adult insight into what employment opportunities are really like for a disturbing percentage of the American public. Oh, I know you won't do anything like that. That would take balls, which I'm sure your mother has removed quite nicely over the years.

Enjoy the burrito. It, too, is probably made in China or Mexico.

"take a look at monster.com. jobs, jobs, and more jobs."

dogcatcher,

I thought the illegals were taking all the good jobs?
~

Robrob

It's ironic that a troller like houndy will mention using Monster.com as a sourve for jobs. Wouldn't this be an answer of the liberal elite? Why, just use your computer and get a job!

And you kow how that liberal elite likes to look down on others:

"You don't have access to one or aren't familiar with doing it this way? Well you must be stupid or there is something wrong with you."

From Donna's blog:

"Gretchen got a dig in about Sen Clinton having babysitters, buses and snow shovels given out to help people to get out to vote. McCauliffe turned the diss around and said that they just wanted to make sure that everyone who wanted to caucus got a chance to caucus."

"Carlson brought up the fact of how it used to be that the person with the most money would win the caucus, and now we have Hillary and Barack Obama raising around 100 million dollars each and on the other side we have Mike Huckabee with practically no money winning in Iowa, which is it, money or message?

McCauliffe said while it's nice to have resources the message is the most important. You need the resources to get the message out. He said he thought they had a very competitive caucus on the Republican side and they also have one on the Democratic side."

Sounds to me like he answered her questions - just not the answers she/you liked.

Of course the freepers are upset about Hillary's campaign providing transportation, babysitters, and snow removal for causus attendees because such assistance is humanitarian in nature. Another example of a rising tide lifting all ships, which neocons vehemently oppose. Repugs are not known for their interest in getting out the vote. Their 'Dear Leader' has stated that he just doesn't understand poor people, and so neither can they. Even if they are impoverished themselves.

A quick purusal of this thread will supply all the evidence needed to show the depth of right wing compassion.

OBT, Minnesota law went into effect today stating that all American flags sold in the state must be of American manufacture.

It's McAuliffe, not McCauliffe.

Republicans are terrorist plain and simple.

NewsBusters discuss the 'hounds inabiltiy to get things right:

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tim...isses- mcauliffe

"The leftist Fox News Channel-monitoring bloggers at News Hounds are quite sensitive about how fiercely the Democrats are questioned. On Wednesday, "Donna" was thrilled at how well former DNC chairman and Hillary campaign operative Terry McAuliffe did on Fox & Friends. (Well, she kept calling him "McCauliffe.") He was a spin-control role model, apparently. But FNC’s Gretchen Carlson was reportedly throwing McAuliffe digs and disses. Notice there are no transcripts as she claims:

Gretchen tried to steer the conversation to how close it was in Iowa between Sen Obama and Sen Clinton. McCauliffe didn't engage and talked about the how well the campaign was going.

Gretchen got a dig in about Sen Clinton having babysitters, buses and snow shovels given out to help people to get out to vote. McCauliffe [sic] turned the diss around and said that they just wanted to make sure that everyone who wanted to caucus got a chance to caucus. He said this is the most important election for many many years and they wanted everyone who wanted to caucus to be able to do so."

The Truth.

Democrats are afraid of tough substantive questions by anyone even Oprah or Ellen. A tough substantitive question is one where you actually have to answer it and not attack the messneger or go on for several minutes.

Ain't it the truth.

This is clearly an intentional misrepresentation of the facts by Donna.

So what's new.

The truly sad part is that the La LunaMurcielagos at News Hounds lap this tripe up like a dog laps up vomit.

What would you expect from a crew of disgruntled feminists who "watch FOX so you don't have to" and their gullible gaggle of non-productive welfare recipients and would be socalists who sit upon their posteriors day and night in front of a computer screen and vent their frustration by furiously pounding on a keyboard.

Can you at least spell his name right? It's McAuliffe not McCauliffe. Got any editors working at your place? That is the kind of intentional mistake Fox would make.

krispykreme500lb | 01.03.08 - 6:12 am |

Earth to Kev and Krispy: "Answering questions" is NOT defined as responding to ad hominem attacks and unfounded speculation, as is the norm on Faux.

No moron. What would a terrorist do with Habeas Corpus or Lawyers?

Terrorist suspects need Habeas Corpus and lawyers. Suspects, get it? Suspects are innocent people guilty of nothing only charged with something.

The Dems want innocent people to get all due protections under the law. That may sound like a strange concept to you but that used to be one of the pillars this country was built on.
Abby | Homepage | 01.02.08 - 11:18 am | #

The solution to this since the Dems* want to have our enemies be able to use our court system is to kill the Terrorists on the battlefield and if any are captured , to keep it secret.

Unlawful combatants are not entitled to GC protection (yes, Congress passed a law so that US law says so.... that law needs to be repealed), and we should treat so ruthlessly that Khalid the Jahadi thinks twice about fighting against us.

Dems want to play patty cake with our enemies.

Too bad Dems and Leftists won't treat their fellow Americans as nicely as they want to treat the murderers who plot their destruction.

* (No other country has people as dumb as our Dems and their continual policy of siding with whatever force is trying to kill us or break our laws)
