Maybe they didn't want them interviewing the 'regular average types' in line, instead, the pre-selected people inside. They don't want any of the talking points screwed up and maybe they want to keep them away from protesters outside, since the DNC people know how FOX would make that the main story of the night. In all fairness, it has to have been a terrible week for FNC. The floor did not become a boxing ring as all of the FNC people so hoped. The Clintons behaved very well, to the great dismay of FNC. That powerful, wonderful moment when we (officially) had the first African-American nominee of a major party was entirely lost on FNC. The FNC folks couldn't share in the enthusiasm, and, indeed, were puzzled by it, and, as such, they couldn't convey it. I am sure they can't wait to get out of Denver to a more congenial setting, where all the faces are pale and there is but one opinion on each and every topic (not a slam at the Twin Cities, which I adore). FNC hobbles out old, tired, stooped over.

Of course, more's the pity. Megyn will have precious few, if any, African-Americans at hand to give voice to her vicious racism. By Monday, the fealty ceremony to Dick and Dubya will be interrupted by weather bulletins, and we may go entirely split screen by Tuesday, wherever the storm may hit (and my thoughts and prayers are we the people in that area). At least FNC has a highly competent weather and political analyst multi-tasker in Steve Doocy. FNC may have a niche in the Twin Cities coverage. I suspect "Murder She Wrote" reruns will take a hit when McCain hobbles onto the FNC Love Train.

For some strange and stupid reason, or to make sure people don't find out what a real Fair & Balanced news outlet sounds like, they had the Arabic version of Aljazeera playing and obviously the only words you could understand were Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama but you could not make head or tail of what it was that they were saying.

Naturally CNN had "helpful" voice-overs telling you what they were saying. Natch.

2000 - 11.3% (but lives immeasurably better with food stamps, housing subsidies, Earned Income Tax Credit, Medicaid, etc.)
