http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ us_mi...innesota_senate

By BRIAN BAKST, Associated Press Writer Brian Bakst, Associated Press Writer – 14 mins ago

ST. PAUL, Minn. – A unanimous Minnesota Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that Democrat Al Franken should be certified the winner of the state's long-running Senate race, paving the way for the former Saturday Night Live comedian to be seated after an almost eight-month fight.

BILLDO!
That is U.S. Senator Al Franken, for you.

It's not like they would be celebrating the birth of a country they passionately despise anyway.

Beck has a vapid and child-like way of expressing his feelings for America. I would take his substance abuse into account, and I doubt he was all there, anyway, before he hit the booze and drugs.

these teabaggers asshats aren't ruining my July 4th with their hatred of America.

God Bless America!

The basic tea party goer is what our Founding Fathers would be quite proud of. Our Founding Fathers would be classified as terrorists today. Fool americans deserve what is happening to them. The boob tube had turned the majority of fool americans into basic boobs. Looking for a little attention with no capability of thought. Between the boob tube and special ops, the tea party patriots have been infiltrated and made out to be a devisive bunch for the good of the criminals in charge of america's destruction. Our Founding Fathers had suggestions for what Patriots should do. Immediate action is recommended at this time. Or kiss your sorry asses good-bye.

god the race haters and morons are gonna gang up and ruin the damn 4th of July for everyone around them. Please be loud and OVER THE TOP nasty and PLEASE let many, many youtube videos and pictures be taken of your antics!!!

Only the biggest losers in the USA could consider wasting their time on the 4th as astroturf props for the RW media machine.

This is a sick parody of the intention and response to the original Boston Tea Party. It wasn't about taxes, it wasn't about oppressive English rule.

They say they want to "take back America", but that America never existed at all. It was an illusion that Reagan hypnotized them into believing while St. Ronnie kept us on the brink of nuclear war while paying Central American death squads to kill nuns and sell advanced weapons technology to his pals in Islamic Jihad.

Many people wait for the booze to kick in on July 4th before acting like a complete moron. It seems the tea party people have every intention of being completely sober when they act like complete morons. Or do they say morans?

Fox hearts these militia meetups

Angela McGlowan!!?

Wow...very clever Fox...

Nice try at attempting to show some diversity at these KKK Rallies with a cute name. I'm sure they'll especially use McGlowan like a puppet to attack Garafalo. "Look see they're not all racist!! Apologize to us!!"

Well good for them!! We should all have a place in our hearts for people with 'special needs'!

The teabagging went so well the first time and convincing us all that 'our freedoms' were disappearing under Mr. Houdini Obama!

Well, at least the lard asses get off the couch and walk around with their signs for awhile; a little exercise never hurts a fat ass!!

*

Bad PR move for the teabaggers.

Nobody is going to be watching TV news on the 4th of July.

Nobody is going to care what a small minority of right wing extremists are doing on a national holiday.

Too many baseball games, concerts, water park activities & cookouts to keep up with the corny antics of these nuts.

And July 5th is a PR bust also because July 5th is a Sunday.

By July 6th, when everybody depressingly heads back to work, nobody will remember or give a damn.

That one guy carrying the Hitler poster with President Obama's face pasted on it says it all to me.

jtObomba | 06.30.09 - 3:59 pm

I mean, it consisted of WORDS and all but they did not seem to be put together in any sort of logical order expressing a coherent thought.

Excuse me? Dr. Rush proved that exercise is what is killing the health care system.

I'm gonna make a mint this 4th with a line of T-Shirts to sell at area tea parties. I have slogans like "Don't blame this on the last guy, he was only doing what he was told to do." Others include, "Apocalypse Now!" with Glenn Beck on the back weeping hysterically. Also, I had a bunch of banners printed up with images of Hannity wrapped in an American flag and the slogan. "Greatest ego God gave man. Let freedom and our toll free number ring." I have decals of Calvin peeing on a variety of things like .... N. Korea, France, California, New York, vegetables, books, and lots more.

Don't forget the dijon mustard for your burgers, this year!

Does this mean we get to go back to giggling at people that refer to themselves as tea-baggers without hearing the sadclown, butthurt cries from the faux nation?

Because, honestly, I'm kind of teed off the fauxer's stole my favorite 8th grade slur to describe their klan sponsored protest parties against paying their taxes.

1-20-2009,
Thanks for proving one of my points. CHEERS !!

Promoting them? They're Participating in them!

Tea bagging: A faux protest of wingnuts led by a faux news network.

Beck, as with other Fox "news people", talks out of both sides of his mouth. They are "patriots" only when it suits their agenda and their wallets.

...and in related news: Thank God for dead soldiers.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P...h? v=Pi77koTk8mc

Foking bunch of jesus-freak lunatics all.

Hey! Ho! Hey! Ho! The party of "No" has got to go!!

I guess they didn't get enough of being laughed at the first time...

Oh well- it will keep the people who are stupid enough to buy into this crap from polluting the events reserved for REAL americans.

Oh great, here we go with this crap again. A handful of limping, drooling idiots, most of them in-laws, without a full set of teeth between them show up here and there with their home-made pizza box protest signs with half the words misspelled followed by days of that little girl Sean Hannity reporting on some sort of "revolution" that's taking place.

Then about a week after that another Republican will get caught with in a hotel room with a hooker, a few small farm animals and one of those campy rotating colored cellophane Christmas lights and all will be right with the world once again.

Thanks for your comment. I read jtO's and I knew all the words, but I didn't quite get the song.

As for the teabag parties, remember to add the dozens of viewers Fox Business gets every day to the outraged.

last year, in the final year of Bush’s presidency, Beck lectured Americans to celebrate July 4 by talking not about “our problems,” but by celebrating “what’s right about America.”
===========

You must celebrate your independence in an traditionally acceptable ways just like everyone else.

I hope Sarah Palin shows up. If anyone is good at teabagging, she is.

;>))

I read on some RW site where they were calling for teabaggers to march on Washington DC on the 4th. They wanted to confront Congress and the President with their disapproval.

Well, that's just fine and dandy, but I wonder if the dumbasses know Congress will be on a holiday break. So they won't even be in Washington.

john t | 06.30.09 - 9:14 pm | #

Let them march. A counter march a few days later with several thousand people compared to a few dozen would scare the crap out of them and put them in their rightful place (back under the damn rock).

A bunch of pasty white, wrinkled, sagging tea baggers does nothing to help the 4th of July. Incredible and fascinating the depth of stupidity. I'll find, like before, if I drive by a group I'll have to look. Damn my eyes!

Just watch... They're going to plant a few teabaggers anywhere that people have gathered to watch a fireworks display, take a wide aerial shot of the crowd, and position their hosts so the camera captures the largest possible crowd behind them so they can claim that the turn-out is larger than it actually is.

Memo to the Right Wing: Put Up or Shut Up
By: Sara Robinson Saturday June 13, 2009 4:55 pm

Dear Conservatives: Your fellow Americans demand an answer -- and we want it now. Just one simple question: Are you deliberately trying to start a civil war? Just answer the question. Yes or no. Don't insult us with elisions, evasions, dithering, qualifications, or conditional answers. We need to know what your intentions are -- and we need to know NOW. People are being shot dead in the streets of America at the rate of several per month now. You may not want responsibility for this -- but the whackadoodles pulling the triggers make no bones about who put them up to this. The assassins themselves are ratting you out.

Absolutely correct. The 4th is all about the parades and picnics and fireworks, especially for the vast majority of the public that doesn't see everything through the prism of politics. Trying to inject anything negative into this quintessential summer holiday will be toxic, and trying to draw attention to a parallel event in its stead is a pointless exercise that everyone but the participants will ignore.

They're quite welcome to knock themselves out trying, but it seems to me like a complete waste of a day off.

Andrew, is it even physically possible for this to make them look more foolish than the first oe did?

Let's review what they would have to do to accomplish that:

1) Waste even more money on teabags.

2) Have an even smaller turnout.

3) Have a larger percentage of the people who show up be racists who openly admit to protesting a black president, and not taxes.

4) Have more locations where ALL the people are holding up signs asking Obama to buy them presents.

5) Have even more people ask "who the fuck were those losers?" when it's over.

No... I don't think it's possible.

The risk FOX runs here is that turnout will be even lower for Tea Party 2.0 than for the first one, making FOX look foolish.
andrew | 06.30.09 - 10:16 pm | #

Exactly is what is going to happen. The tea baggers will draw less crowds on the Fourth. I would bet my house that Faux News will not cover this like they did the first tea-baggers parties because they know this is what is going to happen. Let us see if Beck, Cavuto, Klannity and the rest will be attending tea-bagging rallies or spending the Fourth with their families. I would bet on the latter occurring.

I would recommend that progressives don't go.It might get violent. They might put plants in there to start something. Don't put it past them if they can get fake protesters , they can get fake counter- protesters.Remember the fake "New" Black Panthers at the polling booth in Philly ? One of the guys was for McPain.

Well, history has shown when the right doesn't get the attention it thinks it deservers it gets wierder and wierder and possibly more violent. I would not be surprised if some of these teabaggers start riots.

How many 'mad hatters' are going to turn up for this tea party?
Let's leave this childish nonsense where Lewis Carroll's inheritors intended - with Disney.

Are any of the blond Foxettes into tea bagging?

Mississippi and Alabama top the nation in obesity. So we know a few things about the red state Fox News audience: they are aggressively ignorant, they are easily gulled, they are flag-waving bigots and they like to glide around Wal-Mart on those motorized carts for the monstrously fat.

Good question. I know it's a Republican thing, and that it's too much to ask, but let's have less gay acts on Teabagging days and more of the "normal" kind of teabagging.

Bob Roberts | 07.01.09 - 3:50 am | #

Not sure if I agree. I do suspect the original idea behind the teabagger parties is being morphed into general protest agains a BLACK MAN PRESIDENT. I think we'll see a more thoroughly racist crowd of the same or possibly larger size - it all depends on how much money (astroturfing) is being injected into the We Hate Democrats/We Hate Obama Protest machine.

bitter disappointed scared neocons clinging to their guns, bibles and threatening violence against those they fear.

Welcome to bushworld 2.0

Okay you asked for an answer and here it is. No! we do not want a civil war which by the way is an oxymoron. Honest discourse would be nice. You will find that a lot of us were not supporters of all of Bush's policies so do not go there.
I can say unequivocally that we do not want a benevolent dictatorship under any name Obamacare or a Village either.
We want for us and our children the right to succeed or fail by the fruits of their own labor and virtues. There is no such thing as too big to fail in the real world. If that were true then there is also the converse that you would be too small to succeed. Artificially propping up businesses leads to corporatism or if you will statism. The loyalties then lie not with consumers but with the government.
We are tired of a government that is run by career beaureaucrats with their own agenda such as the EPA . Trying to hide a report that contradicts the UN report concerning global cooling when found out is rather inconvenient.
Healthcare reform is important yes but when does the government do anything well besides making war and building the Interstate system? I can promise it will only cost more. All you have to do is look at the CBO report and the difference that the White House budget Office claims. It bugs Pelosi. By using budget concerns or at least hiding behind them eugenics could be introduced. It would be under cost effective treatment.
There are enough stories of nuts right and left using violence. Trying to blame it on the "right wing" only cheapens your question as it is not a right wing phenomenon.

*****

As someone else mentioned, there will be a lot of people in major cities simply out to celebrrate the Fourth. Wonder how many shots of those crowds will be taken and claimed to be part of the tea-party groups?

They were going to have a Teabagging party here in my town, but the plans fell through when the organizers were told that the park they intended to use had recently been closed because the current tax cuts had eliminated the funds necessary for park upkeep. The head of the TeaParty organization had intended to personally appear yesterday in front of the village board to complain, but was seriously delayed when his car lost two tires on the trip there after striking some pot holes that the village could no longer afford to repair. Then while waiting for the tow truck, the organizer was accosted and robbed. It seems that the Bush tax cuts had forced the village to cut it's police force. As a bit of final irony, when the same organizer finally arrived home, he was dismayed to see that his home had burnt totally to the ground. Yep, tax cuts had reduced the village fire protection to a dangerous level.

Teabaggers aren't going to ruin my 4th. But if they bring buns and dijon mustard they can have one of my burgers.

Please feel free to post any 'evidence' you may have of the 'liberal' media or spokespersons advocating violence. How about some liberal politicians who stated that we needed an attack on the US by Osama Bin Laden to prove that GWB's policies were pitifully inadequate?
Okay an easy one...please list all the Republican policies in the last year that have made your life better? Even nicely stated, bullshit is still just bullshit.

daniel | 07.01.09 - 1:29 pm

Care to enumerate any "left wing" nuts using violence (against PEOPLE, not property)?

The RW are the ones who love to fondle, cuddle, and fantasize about GUNS - when they're not envying the guns of others... The RW are the ones with the elimination fantasies - they want to eliminate every country that looks at us sideways, and Americans who don't toe the RW GOP party line.

hrhc13 | 07.01.09 - 2:30 am

I said the same thing (on NH) about a day or 2 after Tax Day Teabagging parties. They'll say that, since there's a FLAG flying at an event, it MUST be a gathering of RW GOP teabaggers!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By using budget concerns or at least hiding behind them eugenics could be introduced. It would be under cost effective treatment.
daniel | 07.01.09 - 1:29 pm
That's funny, I've heard quite a few RW pundits and even GOP office holders expressing the fear that, if we can get universal health coverage, more people would live longer, and that's a BAD THING, because it would cost the ins companies more... Who's for eugenics? Rationing?
Y'all come on down for The San Antonio Tea Party "Save the Constitution" event on Saturday, 4 July, just outside the little burg of New Berlin*.
It's being held "to inspire and motivate people to continue the grassroots (read 'astroturf' here) movement of "taking our country back".
Indeed, the 17 per centers keenly feel the need to dominate the majority 83 per cent.
BTW, many of these same Teabagger Patriots also favor (yep, you guessed it) SECESSION from the USA!
Yegads, what hypocrisy; and they didn't say a friggen peep about any of this stuff from 20 Jan 2001 until 20 Jan 2009, hmmm...
Esteamed guest speakers include JOE (THE (pseudo)PLUMBER) WURZELBACHER!!! YEEHAAA!, Marcus Lutrell, and lots of other local wingers.
C'mon now. y'all still have time to make reservations:
www.sanantonioteaparty.org
www.riociboloranch.com
*not to disparage a place I personally like, it is like many such South and Central Texas German/Czech/Polish settled places. Lots of history, great food, good people, and great places to be. For a well-known, but now way overgrown example, try New Braunfels (one of my hometowns):
.
"shell" makes a good point in noting where
there will be a lot of people in major cities simply out to celebrrate the Fourth. Wonder how many shots of those crowds will be taken and claimed to be part of the tea-party groups?
In other words, Fox Prolefeed has an all-too-clear likelihood (along with the several right-wing "astroturf" groups behind these "grass-roots" "rallies") for sowing confusion and deception in audiences in summarising the proceedings--especially should the "tea party" rallies not be clearly identified @ the designated venues thereof.
And, as with last time (as the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Centre noted), expect weird and unwholesome types such as nativists, racists, White Christian Supremacists, "birther" Zealots/True Believers, John Birchers, the whole lot, to "crash" same for unwelcome media attention.
Earth Liberation Front, SDS, Saul Alinsky, Louis Farrakhan, Father? Flagan, revv. Wright, etc. If you checked out opposing views you would know this. Listening to the choir alone leaves beliefs lopsided. It is nice to hear different music as well as different tones. I could have gone a lot farther in the above answer but you only asked for a few. We all know some of these profs. at universities and what they said so why go there?
For the record Clinton was Pres. before Bush. Clinton had a chance at least to off Osama. Oliver North testified that Osama was the most dangerous man he knew before Congress. Osama did not like us in Saudi Arabia. He didn't like us anyway. 9/11 took over two years to plan and execute. Where was Clinton?
By the way the definition of a RWer is anyone who is right of the far left of politics. So I guess I won't be invited to any of Pelosi's self-congratulatory parties "sniff".
White Christian Supremacists? This too funny! Is there a difference between them and Black Supremacists? We all know that the KKK was predominantly made of Democrats.
It is funny how racism nowdays has been disguised as "identity politics". No matter the name it still sucks.
Its funny how branding someone makes them more or less human depending on how they are identified.
What are they saying and what is the solution?
And we all know something you don't, "daniel", which is that those Southern Democrats are today's Republicans, who bailed out of the Ddemocratic party after Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law in 1964. The KKK "was"...? How about today's KKK? Not Democrats, I'd wager my house on that.
BUSH ON JOBS: THE WORST TRACK RECORD ON RECORD
- President George W. Bush is preparing to leave in the middle of a long recession. There have been almost 22 months of recession during Bush's 96 months in office.
Bush's job-creation record won't look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton's Administration.
President Bush has the worst track record for job creation since the government began keeping records.
