zook, i am constantly looking at every situation from every angle possible. you may think it's a blessing, but sometimes it is a curse. i always have this nagging feeling that everyone should be treated equally and no one should jump to conculsions, etc. often, my consideration of others pisses my family off.
but i loved this post! and i'm not too fond of the teacher's choice of words, either, but i have the tendency to say this kind of thing to my kids, too. i.e., don't get all worked up over nothing, etc.

My husband does that to me all the time... he calls it being the 'Devil's Advocate.' It has helped me look at situations from more than one angle, even if it can be very annoying at times.

Poor choice of words for kindergarteners for sure, but I guess they're used to her talking to them that way.
I've been trying to be a bigger person most days by putting myself in others' shoes... not always the easiet thing to do.
