Gravatar So wait, Iraq has its own Craiglist?

Gravatar I've printed out the report, Abbas, and will read it later.

Gravatar Well, it doesn't look like a light read at all, so i'll download it and keep it around. maybe i'll have some time and good mood in the weekend to go through it. horribly stuff though.

one thing that keeps me wondering:

why is it that only the fr00kh are getting the short end of the stick? i mean, you never hear of butch gays being hung, drawn, and quartered in that place.
perhaps its a bit harder to identify butch gays, but still.. i mean, they only explicitely mention the feminine people in gay relationships in almost if not all reports on this subject.
all threats and shit is aimed at them specifically.

i raised this question last time this issue popped up on Facebook and Twitter (via Bassam and Pax) and got no answer. hmm

Gravatar why is it that only the fr00kh are getting the short end of the stick? i mean, you never hear of butch gays being hung, drawn, and quartered in that place.

Maybe they feel more threatened by them. There was an incident here in the States (can't remember exactly where now) where one highschool boy killed another who was gay. The boy who was gay was very flamboyant in dress and manner and made it pretty clear that he had a crush on the other boy. Well the other boy wasn't interested and wasn't mature enough to deal with it. It was a terrible tragedy for both families.

I've gotten through a little over half the report now and am finding it just as horrible as Anarki.

There were a couple of things that struck me.

First was the bit about how people react to change. They don't always deal with it well and people's reactions can be violent. As you have more people coming out in the open with their sexuality others may feel threatened.

Cleansing Iraq of people few would care openly to defend gives the militia a revitalized sheen of incontrovertibly urgent purpose. "Now they are done with the Sunni and Shi'a thing." Hussein says of the al-Sadr forces. "So they have a new thing, that's the gay thing...They have found someone new to kill." Excerpt from interview with Sheikh Ibrahim al-Gharawi

While apparently the Sadr militia is directly to blame for the violence against gays in Iraq, the sad thing is is that the general populace apparently are indifferent to their plight. Whether you are talking about collusion by security forces in these acts, or the non-support by families for their children, they are partly to blame for this. It is the same with honor killings. Where are the mass protests in the streets against these acts? People were willing to march against terrorism, why not this? It is terrorism, as well.

Until Iraqis show they won't tolerate this, it will continue.

Gravatar i wish lingette from min wud just shut her gob, that ignorant retard yankee.
its thanks to her likes dirty occupation that gays are being killed.
stupid wench.

Gravatar @ anarki 13

first of all, the feminine gay is views as "passive" one. and as you know Arabic, the word for gay "manyook" is also a passive "penetrated".

It is all this winning mentality, Ali al-Wardi described. If you are the penetrator, you are the winner, so rape, like in Tehran's prison, is okay for an Islamict regime, because they show they are winning. The penetrated is the looser and woe to the looser.

The ancient Greeks and Romans had similiar view about homosexuality. Active one was viewed as masculine, passive as feminine and bad.

Gravatar maybe some1 shud fuck gilgamesh. he can show us his really pussy face then.lol

Gravatar thats a pretty disgusting read. imo abbas reaches the right conclusion, still arabs shouldn't allow a setback like this, if being 'born a muslim' really wasn't contradictory to freedom and democracy it is exactly the mass of these rude and primitive happenings that were not. I wonder why this has not been more obvious but from the report you can get it there has been a great deal of complacence. i wouldnt be surprised to find some kind of agitators in the madhi 'army', and why did noone request muqtada to deal with it personally?
