Waving my patriotic flag! (Now, if more would stand up, that'd be even better.)

Gravatar brilliant!

Gravatar This is encouraging. Now, if only, the military didn't wait until they are retired to speak up. The time is now.

Gravatar Yes Cin. The Time is NOW

Diana at the DNC just put this up.

Gravatar Great to see them speaking out but where the hell were they three goddamned years ago!? Aggghhhh!

Gravatar hey poetry man...here, here

the week following the Kerry victory/theft, Rolling Stone ran a story where generals were criticizing the war plans. AFTER the election. I was so angry! Did i say was?

they cannot criticize a superior officer while serving. it's in the rules of the game. they all could have stepped up sooner. i'll try to celebrate the fact that they're talking, now.

courage may mean arming one's self with the truth and not a sword. or a fat and secure pension.

yay

Gravatar I read articles like this, and wonder WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?

Salon reports new evidence that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was intimately involved in prisoner abuse at the Guantanamo Bay detention center.

Gravatar I caught that, too, Bergs. Makes ya wonder. I have to put a lot of the blame on the darned media for not reporting the truths and catapulting the propaganda that was fed to them, (and to many others) over and over again. We just have to keep on keeping on and sharing our long-standing outrage with the others who are finally beginning to see the light.

That PNAC group got their "Pearl Harbor" and conned and cowed most of America.

Gravatar Great summary, Lizzy - thanks for taking the time to post it.

One thing about Rummy, he hasn't attacked the character of the generals - of course there are lot of them and more coming every day it seems
