Gravatar I love Nate's analyses, he's a smart guy and he's right.

I'd still like to see more discussion about reconciliation, even if it is just a bluff to get people on board.

It is after October 15, and if Reid was smart he'd be saying stuff like, "I hope we can reach an agreement without having to go the reconciliation route" just to remind people it's on the table.

Gravatar Is it possible that the Senate has become tired of the gridlock and wants to do something productive for a change?

Gravatar Oh, gawd! I do hope so!

Gravatar Well, except just when you figure things are coming together count on Joe Quisling Lieberman to muck them up.

Gravatar The Birthers, Palin, and the old geezers in the Senate have done such a good job of imitating every incompetent, dumb thing Bush did or said in the last eight years that the public isn't going to stand for anything less than an up-and-down vote.

Let the filibuster begin. It's going to end ugly for the Republicans. The Party of No will come across like Scrooge right before Christmas. I like it.

Let the Christmas of the Past, Present, and Future haunt the GOP all the way to a comparison of the uninsured being turned away at the emergency room by insurance companies just in the same way the Lord was treated at His birth by the inn keeper.

Lieberman wants to act like THAT kind of insurance company middle man during the Christmas season?

Gravatar I don't think Joe is going to get the royal pampering Olympia treatment.

We already know what a turncoat he's been.
