Gravatar I hope that Senator Kennedy does live to see the day when Universal Coverage and health care at a price that people can afford is seen as he sees it-- as a right and not as a privilege, to be afforded only to people who can afford it (like, for example, Kennedys) or to those who have achieved special status in life (such as a U.S. Senator.)

But should he not live to see that day then we must redouble our efforts to see to it that decades of effort that he has made to bring that day to pass, will not be wasted.

As for McCain and Cornyn,

I am glad that their hypocrisy is being exposed. I'm sick of OUR positions being the ones that campaigns are about. We have to start exposing what THEY stand for, and let THEM be the ones trying to explain themselves.

Gravatar It's a shame certain Senators won't work for We the People with same the strength and dedication as Ted Kennedy.

"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Those in Congress that work against supporting the troops, the forming of a more perfect Union, establishing Justice, insuring domestic Tranquility, providing for the common defence, promoting the general Welfare, and securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity need to be voted out of office. It'd be even better if we could just fire them for job incompetence.

And Cronyn's seat is up in 2009.

Just sayin'.
