Okay, the nutjobs having been whining since the 80's that they wanted to run the show. Well, we knew that the "moral majority" was neither, but apparently we had no idea that they were stupid and unpatriotic on top of it. I can't see how anyone can twist their minds around such diametrically opposed concepts as to be all for tearing up the Constitution, yet consider themselves more patriotic than anyone else. Word up, it can't be done -- at least not by a sane person.
Then again, these are the same people who can look you right in the eye and say that they're pro-death-penalty, pro-war -- and (however irreconcilable the concept is with the former two) "pro-life". If America weren't in such deadly-serious trouble because of such mental antics, it would be laughable.
But it isn't. They've put us in the worst danger of collapsing the nation entirely since the Civil War. This is not the legacy I wish to hand down; and when I meet my founder ancestors in Heaven, I don't want to have to explain that I didn't defend the legacy they handed down to us.
It would be impractical and unthinkable to round them up and force them into the rehabilitative treatment they so richly deserve and desperately need. But, since the 80% of America who are sane, loyal, patriotic can find our voice, our nerve and our sense of pride again, and marginalize these fools back under the rocks they crawled out from. They had their chance to play and they managed to tear up the entire playground.
Spank 'em, send them to bed, but we must never, ever let fundamentalist (accent on "mental") religion attempt to mix with or subvert government again. As much as I don't want religion in my government, I equally don't want the government dictating my religion. With fundamentalist religious nuts of all sorts, that will be the next step: a nominally-Christian version of Iran.
I say "nominally" because it's clear that the "religious" right never read a word Jesus had to say, QED.

I luv your rantin'! It's past time for those hypocritical clowns to get off the stage. The show isn't even that good, and the reviews are just awful. Our ancestral kinfolk are surely spinning in their graves.
