Wow, I am actually kind of suprised he's on those committees! That's good, hopefully he can represent Democratic causes well. I think he can and believe he will.
I remember listening to Al, back when he was on Air America, and being impressed with his down-to-earth grasp on so many issues.
I think he will do quite well.
The Al Franken show used to be the highlight of the day and one of the factors that turned me leftward bound.
I remember talking to Al Franken once back before Air America when he was a guest of Richard Eads on his call-in show in Albuquerque.
I think it may work to his advantage that Republicans have been calling him a 'clown' and setting the bar low for expectations. He will probably ask some very serious questions, without a hint of humor, next week and blow everyone's expectations away.
I predict that he will do well enough as Senator that the next race he will win, no recount needed.
