The funny thing is, even that eleven word admission of what is frankly obvious, caused the right to go into apoplectic shock, such as Power Line's depiction of Graham as (gasp) another Arlen Specter.
They are so rigid in their belief that all Republicans must march lockstep in opposition to everything that Obama does that they can't even accept such a small break in the ranks as Graham's.

The GOP base and their leaders in talk radio and the righty blogsphere:
"If you don't rant, scream, make outrageous charges, foam at the mouth and stay a rabid attack dog 24/7, then you're off the reservation with us"

Jeebus, they just can't get off of this racism and wedge issue scaremongering, can they?
It's an insult to our country's intelligence to hear these bigoted and hypocritical loser Goposaurs bleat and prattle on, playing to the basest of their base.
They are so far "out there" that I'm afraid even a GPS won't even help them find their way into modern times.

The funny part is that their obvious display of hostility toward a woman and minority candidate will backfire for all GOP candidates in 2010.
This isn't going to play well with the biggest and fastest-growing voter blocks. The old codgers continue to think that this is 1993...and for some of these Senators in Southern states it still maybe.
But not for much longer.
Populations are shifting regionally because of the economic turmoil. And younger voters, as well as growing numbers of minorities and older women, just won't stand for this patronizing attitude by rich white males any longer.
They're doing a bad job of selling something nobody wants to a smaller and smaller target audience.
