Remember this?
Alan Greenspan admitting that he was wrong in thinking that "financial markets could regulate themselves without significant oversight..."
And he went to college and got a degree in economics and didn't realize that there are some people who are greedy bastards that will rob everyone else blind if you let them?
I know that much, and I didn't have to get a degree in economics to know it.

I love the Economic Bill of Rights. This should be our agenda for the Midterms. We can use it to pass through a second stimulus bill creating a sweeping public jobs program.
We could use it to employ idled laborers to fix the ailing infrastructure as well as hire white collar workers to man programs within the community strengthening social ties.
We drove to a small historic town in the countryside near here yesterday. The two most notable public buildings were the post office and town musemn...both built during the First Great Depression...still standing and serving the community.
They stood alongside restored historic French dwellings built in the late 1600s/early 1700s and the churches built mostly in the 1950s and 60s.
It's not hard to see when sweeping change occurred in this country. It was always when progressive forces willed that it would happen.
