Gravatar It's the bands that mean so much to me, you know.

I guess the club is kind of like movie sets, you know. While it's neat to see behind the scenes, the real magic is in what was forged by them.

Well, it's an OK analogy, I guess. Except for live performances. Oh hell, I don't know. I'm sad I never got to go.

Gravatar I'm bummed that I never got to go (my last trip to NYC was when I was 10 and had no idea what punk rock was). It's kinda like the WTC, I knew about it and always wanted to go, but kept putting it off because I figured I could always go sometime later.

But, if they're really talking about opening a CBGB's in Vegas, well, you'll know where to find me when I'm in Sin City...

Gravatar I'm pleased that I did get one visit to the World Trade Center, though I was in high school and too young to appreciate more than the kindness of my aunt, who invited me. Needless to say, I appreciate it a whole hell of a lot more now.

Gravatar Unfortunately, CBGB's Vegas will be just like every other thing that comes to Vegas: there will be no attempt at authenticity. Instead, we'll get a beige, watered-down version to appeal to the wandering, looky-loo masses.

And I'll be willing to bet the ticket prices will be insane, just like they are at The Joint in the Hard Rock or Mandalay Bay's House of Blues.
