Can I come to your fictional dinner with your fictional characters?? I would love to see what we would all say to each other!!
And your personal library sounds absolutely incredible. A wonderful space for reading, study, contemplation, research, whatever.
Oh, and just a quick aside: If all you read of Joyce is "The Dead", that's pretty good. I tell anyone who is curious about Joyce to start there. But I'm pleased to know my copious insane posts have had an influence! He sure is a fun ride, once you get past all the "He is IMPORTANT" stuff that surrounds him.
But to this day - even after reading everything - "The Dead" is still my favoirte piece of Joyce's writing. It's perfect!!
Thanks for picking up the meme - it's so fun to read people's responses - you really get to know someone that way, I think.

You didn't tag me, but I played anyway. (Such as it is...)

WG - thanks! I have a general no-tag policy (not always strictly enforced); so feel free. It's pretty much what I did anyway. (And gosh - how are you not in the 'friends of fly' section? I must fix this soon.)
Sheila - nothing in the rules says that I can't invite other real people to my fictional dinner! We'll all eat in the kitchen at the library. In fact, I kind of wish I was there now.
