Yep, used the Spoiler Clues. To be honest, I don't think I would have gotten any without them.
8 - Wizard of Oz - did not use spoiler clue there.
10 - Slap Shot? - used the spoiler clue, and in my defense, i've only seen that once.
7 - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - used the spoiler clues. I'm not very good at this.
6 - V for Vendetta? [Insert throw up sound.] I don't remember a sniper rifle in that movie, though...

It's not a matter of "good at this." IMDB isn't very good at this, which is how Raiders of the Lost Ark wound up with plot keys like "hit by truck" and "zombie."

Nick, I'm surprised you didn't get #1. #2 is also a pretty good guess - I suppose there are a lot of movies with robots, armies, and heroes - but it's not what I'm thinking of here.
