I am very surprised by the Bishop's account. I did not know that Palestinian Israeli citizens were so poorly treated. This smacks of Apartied and Jim Crow! I know that the State of Israel is facing a looming demographic time bomb as the population of Palestinian Israelis is growing faster than that of Jewish Israelis. Eventually, the number of Palestinian voters will be greater than Jewish voters. I wonder if some elements of the Israeli government are actively promoting descrimination against Palestinian citizens? I wish the Bishop good luck with his suit in the High Court!

Nike,
Respect is earned. Israel has no respect for its Arab citizens. You treat people unfairly, you receive the same kind of behavior back. It is a vicious cycle but one that doesn't need to exist.
My heart hurts for the way the Iranian citizens were treated here in America. However; it does not surprise me. HomeLand Security is a joke here in America, the Katrina survivors are still struggling just to keep alive. If a country cannot take care of its own properly and treat its citizens with respect in situations that warrant professinalism and respect, I rest my case. With that said, it's still is no excuse with poor protocol and judgment.

Dear friends you surprise me,
This guy asked to provoke the airport authoroties...probably it was more important for him than to get to his meeting.
Security checks will become worse & harder for all of us and in the name of our right to wonder freely.
Israelis of the Jewish faith are also treated roughly by airport security and you know what, it is still very far from the way people are randomly checked at US airport.

I'm so sorry for that poor woman! It's no wonder the US has more and more enemies these days.
