Gravatar Good title. He’s a hero, but only for one day. I guess this is the case of "kettle calling pot black." We should not forget the Human Rights violations of the Turkish government against its Kurdish population. Turkey is one of the most brutal military regimes in the region and receives American military hardware for carrying out its atrocities against its own citizens and the good military relation that it has with Israel. So I become a little suspicious when this guy attacks murderer Peres and walks out of the room. But I guess everything pales beside the atrocities of Israel. As for David Ignatius, well we know where he's coming from…

Gravatar Hi Mohammad- Yes, absolutely, thanks for that reminder. I haven't made up my mind about Edrogen or his party, but I don't think they have very good relations with the military, right? In any case, politics in Turkey--like that in the US and Iran, and maybe in most places--is always confusing because you always choosing between bad and worse. There is never a ruling party or an opposition that you can really feel good about

Gravatar Any country that produces Tarkan and this guy has got to be doing something right. Check out the Turkish crowd at this attempted basketball game between a Turkish and Israeli teams at the height of the Gaza attack.

Gravatar Ignatius "we've got to let people get to dinner" - pathetic.

I was impressed by Erdogan's keeping his cool, even when he left stage.

Maybe it's time for an Ottoman comeback. Fez included.

Gravatar So much hatred- let us talk of peace

Gravatar Folks have been comparing Gaza to the Warsaw Ghetto. Which is/was worse? One thing is certain- Palistinians and Isrealis have BOTH been victims and driven from their homelands. We need to admit our mistakes and make peace.
