Gravatar There is one historical example. In Sweden, they had to reduce taxes that were at almost 90% down to about 75% or so. Tax cuts work ONLY in that range.

Actually, the way to think about it is that ONLY taxes higher than about 80% actually inhibit the economy. Drop them a few points and the inhibition is gone. Drop them any more and there is NO FURTHER effect at all.
