Did you hear Robert Siegal on NPR this evening? He gave a boatload of crap to the bs'ing Michael Chertoff, who made a complete ass of himself.
Chertoff kept saying "massive response." "More than adequate response."
Siegal then talks of his reporter, who's at the convention center, who is describing excrement in the street, dead bodies laying on the sidewalk, the rape of a 10 year old girl, and conflicing reports of authorities saying help is coming.
Chertoff then says, you can't use anecdotes to extrapolate what's going on elsewhere. He says he knows nothing about it. Chertoff says he doesn't want to argue with him about it.
Siegal says, thanks, then turns to his reporter, who then describes the deadly, filthy mess to millions of radio listeners, who are no doubt flummoxed that they are hearing about this from a reporter from NPR while the feds (post 9-11, no less), know nothing about it.
Chertoff is a complete jackass.
How come Condi gets to have a vacation and George has to cut his short? That's fucked up! It's just a bunch of poor black folks, they're probably all sinners that don't vote, or even worse, vote DEMOCRAT!
Americablog says that Cheney gets to stay on HIS vacation! George got the shaft, folks! Oh well, I'm sure he and Barney are cuddled up together right now... so comfortable, no smell of shit or rotting corpses, no screams in the night of crying, dehydrated babies...
Speaking of Cheney, the last news about him that I remember (weeks ago) was that he was going to the hospital for some vaguely specified reason. I think he's dead or in a coma and they're afraid to admit it.
They haven't found a suitable corpse for his brain, so few white ones in NO.
