I've been thinking about your tooty neighbor. Maybe next time he does that, say - loudly and in a huffy manner - "I HEARD that." See what he says. If he laughs, he's a sportsman tooter and doesn't care. If he apologizes, then maybe he's got a problem. Buy him Beano for Valentine's Day.

borbyrigmafied?? Dictionarydotcom had no idea what that meant, and neither do me.
Beano!! HAH! Great idea. Although maybe you could present it with a shamrock shake, as Valentimes is behind us.
I had a near-lightning experience once, on a rainy day in an old car. I thought it hit the car, so blinding and loud and instant it was. Turns out it struck the guardrail beside me, but it was close enough to kill the engine. I ran to the nearest house for shelter, and when the rain let up we went out to check the car. It started right up.

I had a comment but I'm laughing so hard about Razzy De'Analhorn that I forgot it.

I love the names you've given him!
Maybe he's deaf (like me) and cannot hear them, or thinks they are soft and too low to be heard by the likes of you!
Thanks for the visit; yes, it will be all one color, and there is already a chair rail in the room, with wainscoting under. Otherwise, I'd welcome help to put one in!

When I was home alone for a week back when I was 17 lightening blew a hole in the wall of the house. I thought I was going to die, it was the worst t-storm I've ever witnessed. Another time I few years earlier I was standing in the front yard during a snow squall, in the dark, and the same thing happened to me, out of nowhere lightening split the sky, followed by a booming clap of thunder. It was the last thing one expects to see when it is snowing. The following spring I believe the grass grew a little greener in the spot I had been standing.
Oh yeah, one time in Galveston I saved my aunt from being dragged under the surf by the undertow. It took every bit of strength I had to hang on to her.

I got caught in some relatively weak undetow once.
I do not go in the ocean anymore.
(ok, a lot of that has to do with my unnatural fear of fish, but still...)

I was in my boat hurring back to the dock because of the impending storm when it happened. We were right next to a sailboat. Lightning hit the sailboat mast and split it in pieces. Some of the shards came down on my boat. It happened so fast we barley had time to react. Scared the shit out of me. Another time we were on the beach and a bolt hit a boat anchored20 yards of shore. Everybody turned to look and a bolt hit the beach 30 yards behind us. Needless to say we skedaddled the hell out of there..
It doesn't pay to fool with mother nature...

Better an LBH instead of an SBD.
(In junior high, that meant Loud But Harmless instead of Silent But Deadly.)

*WE* call the quiet ones SBV around here [Silent But Violent].
Hurricane Hugo struck during my freshman year of college. The 'remnants' went clear up into the mountains of WV, and we rec'd winds in excess of 80 mph.
Having never experienced a Hurricane before (and being a frigging idiot), my bff and I played OUTSIDE in it for 4 1/2 hours.
Oddly, neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in this stupidity.

When I was young, Lightning just missed me on my front porch. It left scorch marks and everthing like 10' away.

I almost forgot, last year I was filming a moment of a nasty t-storm, with pouring rain and wind, from the porch of my house when a lightening bolt hit nearby. I've included the link of the video in the HOMEPAGE link here.

We woke up to a severe thunderstorm Tuesday morning and it just seemed all wrong. In the south, thunderstorms go with afternoons and hot, humid weather. NOT February before dawn on a cold day. It just ain't right.
And neither is having your cube neighbor ripping them all day. Gawd! That is so NOT DONE. You definitely have to "fire back", so to speak. Maybe alter your cuisine for a while...
