Ah shucks, that very flattering Brandon. Wonderful work. Can't say I can claim I taught you much other than to turn off the save for PDF format. This is all your talent at work!
I think it's so wonderful people are catching on to textures in vector. For me the benefit is not having to export my artwork to PS. I can keep one file I do all the work in. On top of that if you plan out your illustrations on layers well with corresponding textures you are so flexible in making revisions with ease. Flexibility is the key to why I devised a little system I use. I couldn't imaging working as efficiently in PS. I am a Illustrator junkie!

Charlotte- thanks! Did you not get the talent I sent you? Must have gotten lost in the mail.
Cin- Thank-you! Yeah, I would say the smaller file is an advantage of illustrator, another would be that you can almost sculpt your line until it's the way you like and it retains it's freeform style... that is if you use a stylus. oh, another advantage is the ability to scale your illustration without having to worry about dpi.

beautiful poignant illustration
wonderful face
like the very subtle textures
Is the advantage in creating textures in Illustrator solely that it creates a smaller file ?
