I meant to comment on this last week - it was one of my favorites! You have a clever mind. The homage to the downed squirrel is priceless, and so well rendered. Kudos!

Most squirrels are suicidal, I think. They always do that last-minute dart in front of cars.

I just hit a squirrel last week. It was in the center of a main highway and had that look like it could go either way. Surrounded by traffic as I was, I couldn't veer. He darted under my car at the last second.

this is tragic and brilliant at the same time. Poor, poor Skippy. If only he'd "skipped" the road and kept to a wooded path.
Oh my...Poor Skippy. An interesting twist on b&w. : ) like the asphalt road and acorn border. Oh, heck...I like it all.
This is so adorable and sad. I like the fact that you used a loose interpretation of the theme. I also like the road as the frame—poor Skippy's demise.
Finally I love the textures. I saw in an earlier post that you do textures in Illustrator. I was trying to figure that out for my last Illustration Friday, but I had no luck. Any advice you'd be willing to share?
