And about the Shiavo thing - I've been trying to avoid it myself, but I have heard that her parents offered / encouraged him to divorce her and marry his girlfriend (with whom he has children), but he refused because he believes she would not want to be kept alive like this. He stayed married to her in order to continue to fight for her right to die with dignity.
