Molly and I needed to get out late last night, so on a whim we went to the midnight show (actually able to get tickets on very short notice) and it was freakin' fantastic. The first twenty minutes feel bizarrely like a preview, and a lot of the dialogue is a little lame, but the story is just about perfect. Don't look for a ton of detective work in this one (although Christian Bale's Wayne/Batman has great instincts and figures shit out really quickly) because this is how he becomes Batman, not how he continues to operate as Batman. But it sets up the franchise beautifully. I hope there are twelve of these things. Noah, say the word and I'll totally see it a second time.
