OMGoodness! When I moved somewhere that allowed pets I wanted a dog in the worst way. However, I realized my work schedule and the fact that I did not want to walk a dog a 3am, in the nasty winter elements. I got a cat, a very cute cat. Almost a year later I realized his attacking me to play meant he needed a playmate, so I got a second cat. Thus, completing the spinster cat-lady household.
I think you'll need a couple dozen more cats to qualify as a spinster cat-lady, RT. But one is too much for me. Cats are eeeevil. I just know it.
I actually have one cat trained like a dog. He comes to me when I call him and he curls up with me when I sleep. 
Cats are not evil, John. You've evidently been brainwashed! I've had a cat since I was a toddler and have 4 at the moment. One that my daughter bought and 3 that adopted me! I like dogs, too--just don't have one at present.

My dog says they are evil, and he's never lied to me. Except for the time he denied ordering that pepperoni and kibble pizza from Domino's. I just know it was him. The wife and kids hate kibble on their pizza.
You should re-educate your dog!
