Gravatar And once again, Sunday, July 22, 2007, throngs of Dillinger fans, crime historians, and curious onlookers flocked to the Red Lion Pub and after a couple of hours of socializing disrupted traffic on North Lincoln Avenue by following a bagpiper and even a drummer this time across the street to the Biograph Theatre and then down to death alley in the annual ceremonial observance of the John Dillinger Died For You Society. 50 or 60 people sang to the haunting bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace and following speeches by ghosthunter Richard Crowe and Mike Flores of the Psychotronic Film Society, a can was beer was poured into the alley to appease John's spirit and prizes were awarded to the best dressed "Ladies in Red" present. As always a fun family outing and of course John would have wanted it this way.
