Wow! That's why I, as a straight and now happily married man from very far away with very different topics in life, keep coming back to read your blog (which is, I might add, one of only three that I follow): you seamlessly blend the personal with the political and cultural in a way that is nothing less than astonishing!
Thank you for making my day!

Thanks for the tremendous, extremely moving and life-affirming post. By the way, congratulations on the job offer. Did you take it? Are you allowed to reveal the name of the company?

Oh Mr. Jake, you done gone and made me cry. That was truly touching.
BTW. Thanks for the tip on the running shorts. I wore them last weekend when I ran a 3:36 in the Toronto Marathon. A good result for me but not good enough to go to Boston (sniff).
peace,
Don
Ps. Still waiting for a pic of Mr. Wonderful.

I got a really large bill from Verizon, would you accept that?

Jake,
What a pleasant suprise to see your blog on AOL. Tim, Ethan and I have settled back in Little Rock, and I was feeling rather blue about not being in Chicago and missing the Chorus very much. Then I saw your beautiful smile and read your blog.
I hope all is well with your job search and give all the boys in the chorus a big hug and kiss for me.
Thank you for lifting my spirits. When I saw the lyrics to "Our Time", I couldn't help but sing it (the baritone line of course...I think some of my co-workers think I am tone deaf!)
Take care. We are trying to get back to Chicago for the Holiday concert!

A truly wonderful post, I also found your blog by accident, a nice one at that. Where can I hear the words and music to "Out time", beautiful words.... We used the song from Jekyll and Hyde, "This is the Moment" for our Wedding in Masssachusetts 2 years ago, also great words. All the best to all from Boston and the so far equality state.
