LOL. Hilarious.
I hope you instructed the lawyer to leave me that massive duplex medicine cabinet in your bathroom. I was planning to empty out all the products and then sublet it.

Sweetie, you're not a threat to traditional marriage, you're a celebration of it.
Equal isn't equal until it applies to EVERYONE, you know... equally. I'm tired of being, by default, part of an elitist club. My marriage will be MORE when gay marriage is allowed equally everywhere. More honorable, more legitimate, more real.
Your marriage - anyone's marriage, really (as long as it's a healthy and happy one) is a testament to the power of love and commitment, and every good marriage adds a little light to the Universe. I say, SHINE ON!

I will personally hand you the misleading-transition trophy. Very nice.
I will ask anyone who squawks HOW my brother's making a lifetime commitment to the love of his life would have negatively affected my daughter or son. No one's been able to verbalize a response yet, at least to my face. Don't get me started.
Celebrate your love with those who love you and support you. The rest don't matter.

Wow, you went to a lawyer? That seems so... official. Jay and I did it ourselves with forms from Quicken legal or something: wills, POA, and medical POA, and probably some other crap. It's pretty basic stuff: all my shit goes to him when I die.
When I had my jaw surgery back in 2005, I had to go the week before to get things set up with the hospital. Even here in Birmingham, the hospital folks were completely cool (or at least faked it well, which really, will suffice) when I told them Jay was my domestic partner and authorized medical whatchamacallit.
Anyway, I'm glad you and the DP are getting even more official. We'll have traditional marriage destroyed in no time!

FOAM ROLL!
I swear by it. I roll out my calves and quads and hamstrings (oh my!) before every run. Takes just a few minutes and seems to work so much better than conventional stretching. I'm prone to the same "seizing" of the calf, but haven't had an episode since using the FOAM ROLL! Of course, as you mention, it's early in the marathon training.

Will here be or has there been surname hypenation or will you keep your separate identities?
How should we address invitations?
Mr. Jake Surname
Mr. Justin Lastname
Address
Chicago, IL
or
Jake and Justin Surname-Lastname
Address
Chicago, IL
I was going to put Misters Jake and Justin like one might do with two doctors (Drs.), but I just realized it turned into MRS.! What is the correct way?

In answer to Justin's question above, I believe the correct abbreviation is Mssrs. and/or Messrs.
But then again, I could just be one sandwich short of a picnic.

Hey Jake, I'm glad you guys got married. The legal stuff is just that. There is no equal marrage law as far as the Feds are concerned. No Social Security benefits, no Medicare benefits, a myriad of other benefits. I know you know all of that.
But WTF? I' still waiting for the Equal Rights Ammendment. You think us gays and lesbians are on the leading edge? 1973 was the year for the ERA and it has not passed yet, maybe itwas years later. I'm getting old enough that it all mushes together.
In any case, Go figure. I should move to Iraq, Shrub has promised equal rights for women there. What a guy.
Really, happy for you and the MR. I love a love story.
