Hey, its tough living out here on the streets. Might as well burn a few cars just to keep warm. Besides, Detroit can't sell them cars so they are just sitting around rusting and all.

You can find parking places on the streets of Chicago?
Feh.
In New York you have to pay a bajillion dollars (for 4 hours) to park your flaming hulk off-street due to stupid Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules.

I saw a blazing car once. In Chicago no less, on Lakeshore Drive. Just pulled over to the side of the road. I was in a cab going back to my hotel after visiting Steamworks (ahem), and there it was. I thought it was an omen, that the universe was telling me not to be such a slut, but it turned out to be a random car explosion.

I too have seen a car engulfed in flames - November 17 (a now defunct anarchist/terrorist group in Greece) was considerate enough to wait til 4am to blow up a car in front of my apartment building in Athens during the first gulf war. A very interesting way to be awoken in the middle of the night. Alas, no fotos til the morning after so nice job on yours.
