YAY! A new blog...
You're not the first of my friends to have that "baby fever" when they have kids the age of Lane 1 and Lane 2 - it must seem surreal to be this close to watching them take off into the world. But don't worry - First, there are still years before that will happen, and Second...even after it happens, they will always be your babies. :o)
(But let me know if you decide to go ahead with it - I'll sign up for babysitting duty any time!!) LOL!
Oh - and PS - I can't wait for the pictures and stories from the road, when you and Lane 2 roll out to Florida. You guys will have a BLAST!
In our house it was me with "the fever" after ours were on their own. I wanted to adopt, but got told, no, this was the beginning of "our" time and it wasn't going to happen!
My sister is going through what you are, "on steroids" because her youngest graduates high school this month and is going off to college. Not far from home, but far enough that he'll be in a dorm instead of his bed each night and it's making her cry at the drop of a hat.
One thing I know for sure is that you've raised some kids I'll be very happy to have join the grown-ups in society!

They have a cure for Baby Fever. Go to a daycare and spend a day with the screaming little "bundles of joy", then go home and don't sleep for a week. That should remind you why you don't want another baby.
The kids do grow up fast, don't they?
I totally ( i am such a Valley Girl) having baby fever!! My son is about to turn 13 & I want another one bad....My husband had the same reaction as yours..

So glad you are back! I had the baby fever last year when my youngest started Kindergarten. I just hung out in the baby aisle at the store and watched the stressed out moms buying the expensive diapers and formula. Then I held every friends baby I could. Still want one, still not getting one!

Glad you are feeling better. I too had that feeling last year. A year after my hyster. But just babysitting my hyper nephew snaps me out of it big time. I'll wait for the grandbabies..waaaay down the road. (so I tell my teen girls). Have a fun trip to Florida!

Mine just turned 16 and I am tooo friggen old to have another one... and I mean too old. Shoot... menopause has been my friend now for 3 years LOL

Now enjoy your time away with your sweet girl, and just to keep Mr. Lane from exploding (or imploding) better make sure you give him some funky monkey time before you go. 
I don't blame you--since I had that same baby craving when my kids became more independent. Like your husband, mine was WTF are you thinking?? You're nuts!! I'm glad you're over the pneumonia. People OUR age don't want to mess with that. I have a cold and everyone is looking at me askance, wondering if I have the swine flu.
I'm sure T-Bird would loan you her 3 year old for a while, just to get that kink out.
Sorry to hear about your pneumonia. You're the second person that I know to have it this year.
I've had pneumonia and it knocked me lower than anything else ever has. Take care!! and enjoy your trip.

Congrats to L2!! She's done amazing in school! My little bro is graduating h.s. very, very soon, 2nd in his class (barely... he was so close to valedictorian!!), on Nat'l Honor Soc. The boy is a BRAIN!! Not that I'm bragging....
