Well Happy upcoming Birthday, girl! Those are sweet gifts from the kids (except the ear munching) and the best kind to get. It's the little things that please me too; I just had a birthday and hubby got me this really mushy card (he's NOT usually inclined so it was a big deal to me) and signed it all lovey-dovey. Then he realized it opened up one more page so he noted on there for me how he screwed it up but loves me lots. Haha! It was the best card I ever got from him.

I hear ya on the price of gas and home-owning. Methinks a bunch of us should start a commune and live off the land. You in?
