Pas la peine de chialer ...

Gravatar That's right! Everyone from Tony Blair, to Bill Clinton, to members of the US congress were pushing to go into Iraq. It was common knowledge that Hussein had used WMD's against his own people and, Boosch gave him 18 months with which to comply with UN inspectors. During that time Hussein undoubtedly shipped or buried the WMDs. The 'unhinged' Left is struggling to dismantle this administration and to dethrone Boosch - at all costs (even the safety and stability of US and Western European interests). The Democrats have suddenly developed severe amnesia and aren't willing to come to terms that Boosch is doing the right thing. Like the old 60's hippy mantra - "All we are saying/Is give War a chance!"

Gravatar Your explanation of the situation is clear, well-documented, even-tempered, and right. But I already know these things, and believe them. I know that the Democrats/ liberals/ socialists are blatantly, in the most Machiavellian show, putting into play the Goebbels Dictum about lying. Isaiah the Prophet (5:20) said a time would come when bad people would call evil good and good evil. They would invert the truth: the liar would call the plain-speaker a liar. The Democrats in the U.S.(and as far as the U.S. press reports, every soul on the continent and its appendage, Britain) are screaming "Bush lied--thousands died" (maybe it's up to millions now; haven't heard the latest). The explanation for their actions is EITHER their lust for power at any price, even dishonoring the service and sacred sacrifice of life of the military, and destroying the powers for good of the United States, and debilitating the advance of democracy--OR instead of a simple lust for power at any cost, a nefarious and nihilistic hatred of America itself because it actually is a democracy, a capitalistic democracy, not a socialist "state" (being as, in my view, democracy and socialism really are contradictions).

So I say bravo for what you have written (and I am copying it onto paper); but how will it change the minds of those who are the real liars?

Gravatar If they were duped by the wily Wepuplican wascals or swayed by short-term political expediency, either way the Dems come out smelling like a gaggle of cackling asshats. I guess they're banking on the notion that the American electorate has a very short memory and doesn't read the congressional records. Kerry's speech of Oct. 9, 2002 given on the Senate floor is one of the most compelling and articulate arguments for the invasion of Iraq I've ever heard. WTF? I'd also like to use the word pharisaic here, because I like the word pharisaic because I think John Kerry is very pharisaic. You still out there Doctorino de la Reputa Vejiga Quetedenmorcilla?

Gravatar All their polemeic HAS had an effect.
In a post I wrote titled
The Lemming Left

You can read more about THIS

Democrats' own mood poll scares them

Jun. 29, 2005 at 10:48AM

A poll on the political mood in the United States conducted by the Democratic Party has alarmed the party at its own loss of popularity.
Conducted by the party-affiliated Democracy Corps, the poll indicated 43 percent of voters favored the Republican Party, while 38 percent had positive feelings about Democrats.

Gravatar Just to help:

Pharisaic

1. Pharisaic also Pharisaical Of, relating to, or characteristic of the Pharisees.
2. Hypocritically self-righteous and condemnatory.

That's why I come to this blog, it is so educational ! (um, I mean erudite) :}

Il peut avoir quelque chose pour faire avec le pharisaic de mot, oui? C'est une autre façon pour dire que quelque chose est hypocritement soi-vertueux et dénonciateur.

Gravatar Uhmmmm... why do I get the impression that Michel was attempting to be sarcastic, but in his sarcasm accidentally swerved into the truth?

Gravatar mama-pj - He comes here because, in spite of his attempts to be provocative, he knows this is possibly the only place in the blogosphere where anyone with French roots and a worldview even close to his own is to be found.

The rest of the French are getting their news from the French Ministry of Truth. michel obviously is not.

Gravatar Ah... OK. I must be confusing Michel with someone else.

Gravatar Want the truth? Ask a Pole.
Want a lie? Read a poll.

Gravatar The best way to make roaches scurry for cover is to shine a bright light on them, as the Republicans in the Senate did the other day by forcing the (Orwellian) Democrats to vote where their mouths were.

Gravatar Kerrying, as in John Kerry, is becoming a verb. As in, "The Democrats are Kerrying our troops." Or, Mr. Smith Kerryied me at the office today.

Kerry-to kerry, backstab, undercut, poorly and falsely portray, abandon...

Gravatar Padubis called it-

the democrats were either duped by someone all the leftist elite say is a subhuman mouth breathing knuckle dragging dolt, which don't say much for their intellect, or they are craven spineless windsocks out whoring for votes. I am so very proud of my legislative branch these days.

One question I can never seem to get answered sufficiently..... if Chimpy McDumbassOilSuckerBabyCrusher (aka Bush) was clever enough to dupe all the supergeniuses of the left and LIE us into war, why didn't he complete the big Lie and plant some bogus WMDs in Baghdad somewhere? Why go to the trouble of only carrying out half the scam?

Of course, when I get the "because Bush is a big dumbass, that's why" answer, that brings us back to how could such a dumbass trick such deep thinkers, unless of course they aren't as clever as they think they are.....

Gravatar I think 2BrixShy definitely has a point there!

In fact, a few nights ago, Jay Jeno mentioned something very similar in his monologue: if the Dems say Bush is a complete inarticulate imbecile, and now they complain that Bush tricked them, what does it really say about those Dems? Hmmmmm.

Gravatar Sorry, I meant JAY LENO.

Gravatar If the war is such a quagmire, losing effort, another Vietnam or whatever the current raison du jour on why the war is so bad, I'd like to see the Democrats explain why the Iraqis are not demonstrating daily for the U.S. to get out and why the U.S. troops are not demanding to be sent home?

2BrixShy:

Good point!

Gravatar Well, I never liked the invention of the term WMD. It was a propaganda device that lumped VX, sarin and anthrax in with thermonuclear devices. That was the BIG lie. Goebbels would have admired that one.

I figgered we went to war for two reasons

1. At some point we have to back up bluff and bluster with action. At least we took out Sadaam. a legitimate bad actor. War is the natural state of man. We need to periodically let the world know that WE still know how to wage it.

2. Up until the Iraq war, terrorists were hard to find, hid like criminals and were protected by friendly states, dupes and civil rights protections. Now terrorists are sucked into Iraq like moths to a flame where they can be eliminated more expediently by the military and not the police. You can't do that in the US, Pakistan, Indonesia or France. Iraqis have been victims of this dirty trick and our payback is rid them of Sadaam and to try and help them gain freedom and democratic rule. It's a big gamble and could go bad if Bush or his suck sessor get squeamish.

It's a big risk. Invading Europe in 1944 was a big freakin' risk. Not surrendering to Hitler when he was 20 km from Moscow was a big freakin' risk.
Taking on the Japanese fleet at Midway was a big feakin' risk.

We need to demand that our political and military leaders manage this risk and not cave in to the political asassins.

Gravatar mamapajamas -

I was sincere in posting the definition of that word. I really enjoy reading this blog and find it an intelligent source for news items that can't be found anywhere in the mainstream media. I also love words and languages and always enjoy being exposed to new ones.

Gravatar Michel, thank you for telling me. Now I'm SURE I've got you mixed up with someone else .

Gravatar Erik for this and the related stuff at your blog I say Bravo! (I thought of the Ranger assault on Point de Hoc intel error as analogy to the Iraq WMD intel error myself recently and here you were way ahead of me!)

Gravatar I find it simply amazing that Cheney was called "divisive" for lashing out at his critics.

These are people who call him a liar, a supporter of torture, a murderer, a child molester (OK I made that up, but I'm just using the liberals own tactics against them), a profiter, etc...

Why arent leftists or Islamists ever divisive? I am going on a hungry strike until the media proclaims Ted Kennedy to be a divisive figure in politics.

I guess I better write my will. If anyone wants my record collection drop me a line. I wont last more than a week...

Gravatar Are they 33's, 45's or 78's?

Gravatar It was never the case that the U.S. had to prove that Saddam had WMDs. Saddam was given plenty of time to prove that he had none. He stalled all U.S.& U.N. efforts to comply to the inspectors need for full co-operation.He lost a war, signed the peace accords, agreed to inspections, and then completely stone walled the U.N & the U.S peace conditions. We know he had WMDs, because he used them on several occasions, and he would have used them again if allowed to undermine all attempts to reign him in. The proof of no WMDs was and always will be Saddams biggest blunder. He would still be in power today if he played by the agreed upon terms that he himself signed. What a stupid, ignorant, evil baffoon he was,the world is a much safer and better place with him gone.

Gravatar It must be a lot of work. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us. I hope you appreciate my site. Explore new a-mp3-download collection .
