Is Obama for nuclear energy? (It sure beats air polluting coal)
His vote FOR the Energy Policy Act of 2005 seems to indicate that he is pronuclear. He is also serious about increased monitoring and has introduced legislation to really crack down on leaking tritium at nuclear power plants. Half of Illinois' power comes from nuclear with 11 reactors operating there. He has also toured at least one nuclear power plant.
