Gravatar Give 'em hell, Sister!

Oh, never mind. They seem to have the blueprints for hell and are well along in its construction.

BTW, these are the same assholes who could never see the point or accept the facts about the overpopulation of the planet. kinda figures.

Gravatar BTW, in Dragons of Eden [it seems to be the one book I ever read] Sagan took a stab at a logicial [even the last 5%] determination of what might constitute ethical abortion. If I recall correctly , he reckoned the first trimester and any chance of anencephaly is fair game: it aint human if it hasn't got a brain.

Gravatar But seriously...tell us what you REALLY think.

(Couldn't agree more with every word...)

Gravatar Wow. What an incredible post. Thank you and thank you for the links.

I'm 57 and remember what it was like before Roe v. Wade. Thank goodness my child-bearing years are behind me but I grieve for the young women who are going to lose the right to choice. So many are going to be maimed or die. And it's not about life. It's NOT ABOUT LIFE. It's about controling and punishing women.

Gravatar Where is the consistency of argument on both sides? Liberals want to be able to murder fetuses and the conservative right wants to save fetuses and kill murders.

If you're going to be pro choice, then why not be pro death penalty? Talk about no logic. "It's OK to kill the three month old fetus, but by God, no, you can't kill that man who killed 5 people. Two wrongs don't make a right."

Gravatar And, of course, as George W Bush has assured us, no innocent person has ever been put to death under his signature by the Texas justice system.

If promoting the death penalty is what it took to put G-Dub in the White House where he's balanced the budget, created millions of new jobs, reduced our dependence on foreign oil, made great strides in improving the US trade deficit, created a booming economy that has boosted profits at Ford, GM and other US multinationals to record highs, and protected every American from the threat of terra-ism...

Then I'm...

Wait... I hate it when my meds do that. What was I thinkin'?

.

Gravatar Interesting choice of words, there, "murder fetuses"--I mean, doesn't the word MURDER imply malice, as well as forethought? (The legal definition of the word certainly makes it clear...)

I've never heard of any woman aborting a fetus out of sheer ill-will towards it. Therefore, the abortion=murder equation is a fallacy.

But thanks for playing. Goodnight!
