Can you tolerate any criticism of Israel or is it just the apparent lack of evidence? Even Israelis are critical of Israel. Check out Gush Shalom. There is a difference between hating the state of Israel and holding them accountable.

Lisa,
Lisa, first I want to thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to post a comment!
And regarding your comment, first of all I have not reviewed the data on Cush Shalom yet. On your advice, I will get to that.
Regarding your position that there is a difference between hating Israel and holding them accountable, I agree with you! If Israeli troops, commanders, pilots or any other person involved with the war has ordered the indiscriminate killing of civilians, then by all means, let them be tried and convicted of their crimes. But I maintain that it should not be done based solely on hearsay testimony and subjective retrospective data. No court on earth would attempt to try a person on such evidence.
If you examine the proceedings of the Nuremburg Tribunals after WW2, you will see that veritable trainloads (no pun intended) of objective evidence were found, examined, and catalogued for the purpose of identifying the guilty and acquitting the innocent. Human Rights Watch presents no objective data to support their accusations against Israel. And my opinion is that in a territory where the enemy holds the civilian hearts and minds, finding someone who will not say "there were no military targets" would be nigh impossible. HRW was led to the sites, guided every step of the tour by watchful guards. What do you think the chanecs would be the HRW would find anything other than what Hezbollah wanted them to see- or not see?
Lisa, thank you for challenging me! I want to learn as much as I can about this and make a more informed conclusion. I will look into the Cush Shalom information that you have suggested. Please feel free to come back any time!
