Brilliant move on part of McCain. I was seriously leaning in the third party direction and now feel as though I will vote for the Republican Ticket.
Gov. Palin seems solidly in the pro-life camp, committed to fiscal integrity, sensitive to environmental issues, and supports national self dependence for energy. She seems to be somewhat to the libertarian side of the Republican Party.
I enjoyed her mention of the famous bridge to no where and her quip that Alaska will build their own bridge if they need one.
Because she is almost too good to be true I will be curious to see what the media dredges up on her. But if she survives scrutiny then I see a McCain victory in November.

I have an uncle who's a conservative Republican US Senator who speaks well of Obama after having worked with him in person. The man is not only bright, but he's willing to pick people around him who don't agree with him in order to learn as much as possible about a subject to try to get a balanced view.
I lived in Indiana briefly while Dan Quayle was a new senator there, and when Bush 1 picked him, I was dumbfounded. I'm having the same reaction to Palin. It seems to me almost an insult, as if McCain thinks women vote on gender only.

Aloha William,
I just had to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your blog. I happened upon it and can't stop reading it. You are quite the writer. I am an older nursing student, 40 changing from Interior Design to RN. Don't know where I will end up but I can clearly see that the ER offers some very interesting moments.lol.
I hope to *** that I get someone with an evenkeel temper and great sense of humor as my mentor nurse.
Best Regards from Honolul.
