I've missed reading you. I'm trying to take up the slack, but there's nothing like the experiences of an ER nurse. The stuff my wife gets is, frankly, depressing (like the family that came in tonight with a dead 1 m/o), so she rarely wants to talk about her shift.
BTW, here's one I heard from the EMS coordinator when I was doing clinicals last year.
Q) What's the difference between an ER nurse and a pit bull?
A) Scrubs and lip gloss.

I had my first fatality (m/c vs truck) as a first aid provider last month. It was a few days before I could sleep again. Don't know how you can do that day in and day out. It'd drive me insane.
Post when you can, work when you should. I still check back regularly.
